ICTHUS Posted December 6, 2004 Posted December 6, 2004 Hey! That's right, I'm talking to you, the Phatmass user known as Gal 5:22,23. Since I don't have PM privileges (since, apparently, I am one of those evil Protestants) and you sound like an interesting person, and this is mostly where you hang out, I'm going to invite you to add me to MSN. i_am_n0t_my_own@hotmail.com Also, you can email me at solagratia1517@gmail.com Mods, please excuse this misuse of the forum.

homeschoolmom Posted December 8, 2004 Posted December 8, 2004 I don't sound like an interesting person... ?

Well, perhaps you are an interesting person, but do you really want to be in touch with me? By the way, I'm still wondering what I should beware of. Edited December 8, 2004 by ICTHUS
Brother Adam Posted December 9, 2004 Posted December 9, 2004 Beware... Of evil rabbits lurking in dark caves?
Brother Adam Posted December 9, 2004 Posted December 9, 2004 Or perhaps that you follow a man who throws his feces and actually publishes the fact. . .
I don't follow him, per se - his interpretations of Scripture were sound, unfortunately, he was a sinner, like us all.
Brother Adam Posted December 9, 2004 Posted December 9, 2004 Aye, true, he was a sinner, but I would not put my stock into a man so emotional unstable to be my "Pillar and Foundation of Truth". Though then again you are at liberty in Protestantism at the buffet of beliefs, to pick and choose truth as you are most comfortable with.
that was directed to the young person you were trying ensnare with your twisted half-truths and outright lies. Not you. You only need to beware of falling deeper into error.

Brother Adam Posted December 9, 2004 Posted December 9, 2004 You know, I left the Protestant Church for the Catholic Church and I do not get "gleeful" when a Protestant says I am in error. I feel sorrow for the division. Perhaps your stance on the homosexuality thread should also be considered here.

spathariossa Posted December 9, 2004 Posted December 9, 2004
You (spathariossa) seem to get so much joy out of something that causes the Lord so much pain. He prayed fervently for unity. You delight in division...
I pray at every church service for the unification of the church. All Orthodox christians do. However, not in one Catholic service I have ever been to have I found the prayer for re-unification to be a part of the service. Think about that. Also think about the fact that your Bishop excommunicated all of Eastern Christianity. We disagreed with some of the dogma you invented but we didn't excommunicate you for it. So really, look who's talking.
My stance on the homosexuality thread is a refusal to delight in the sorrow of others. A sentiment you clearly don't share. It doesn't matter to me that they're wrong. They are people. Even if the government made the right decision that isn't cause for celebration. We should instead look forward to the coming battles not in laws and governmental affairs but rather within the soul of every person who identifies as a homosexual. I'm sorry if that doesn't fit your catholic view of things. I guess universal only applies to straight, sane, and able-bodied.
Balthazor Posted December 9, 2004 Posted December 9, 2004 Spartariossa! You forgot we also only consider blue eyed aryans of pure lineage from the master race to be universal. *sarcasm*

Brother Adam Posted December 9, 2004 Posted December 9, 2004 We sorrow in your division from the One, Holy, Catholic, and Apostolic Church.
