jmjtina Posted December 14, 2004 Posted December 14, 2004 (edited)
culpability for any sin is not something e should try to discern outside of the confessional. THIS is why lay people should not be dispensing Our Lord's body, blood, soul, and divinity.
Hyper, My priest agrees with you. He got rid of ALL our Eucharistic Ministers and he has definitely denied many the Eucharist (especially at big weddings and funerals).....of course also asking them (in line) when the last time they went to Mass, confession, and such. They don't need to be wearing the sash, just fail to say "Amen" or be a real unfamiliar face. Did I mention we have a really great priest? Pax. Edited December 14, 2004 by jmjtina
Scofizzle Posted December 14, 2004 Author Posted December 14, 2004
I agree. I don't think lay people are qualified to make these decisions. What if we had a rainbow sash wearing EM???
If a priest is in communiopn with the church and has any clue...he would not allow that any persons wearing a rainbow sash to be a Eucharistic Minister.

It's one thing to be sorry for your sins, it's quite another to want the Church to conform to fit your sinful lifestyle. Pax.
