ya - i stopped reading about that time too
all the alternate universes and people flipping from one time to another
and all the spin-off titles killed it for me too - if i wanted to know the complete story i had to buy several different titles every month

I read somewhere that this was the result of one of the writers wanting to make Nightcrawler "more interesting" and get him "away from the spiritual stuff" or something like that. I choose to forget about that writer's ideas though, because that's not how Nightcrawler actually did things.
