My guess since the sentance was so light the kid was a terrorist. Haven't you ever watched the videos of how they train these people? They start as soon as they can read. In a place like that when dealing with Islamic people - given their track record ever since Mohammed wanted to be like Jesus - benefit of the doubt belongs to the US soldier. God Bless.
spathariossa Posted January 15, 2005 Posted January 15, 2005 There are extenuating circumstances to this case that aren't widely known and circulated. I don't see it as an indictment of the US criminal justice system. I'm sure none of us was on the tribunal and saw the evidence presented. Though if I remember correctly this teenager was a member of the militia in Fallujah who had been shooting at the US soldiers. What I can't remember is whether he was the one the soldier shot because he was afraid the body might be booby-trapped or if he was the one who was so badly injured that he asked to be killed in the name of mercy. I don't recall, there hasn't been just one of these cases.

[/quote] It doesnt say if the kid was wounded by gunfire, in a fight or just generally shot up, like US soldiers usually do to Iraqis. But if it was an injury through fighting the US imperialists, then shot, that breaks the [b]GENEVA CONVENTION[/b]. All courts and world institutions, INCLUDING THE US SUPREME COURT, have ruled on this. That ALL must be shown the Geneva Convention, whether you think they are terrorist(which is IRONIC coming from the US) or not.
