Lil Red Posted January 27, 2005 Posted January 27, 2005 i want to get my hubby something nice for our wedding anniversary on tuesday. nothing too expensive, but nothing too cheap either. he says he doesn't want anything, so in other words, he isn't giving me any suggestions. i want it to be romantic, but i don't want to cross the line into cheezy or sappy. any suggestions from the guys on pm?
theculturewarrior Posted January 27, 2005 Posted January 27, 2005 This is a little on the inexpensive side, but I'd like a really nice razor, the kind that's not electric, but you don't throw away... And, you could get him some designer shaving cream and shaving balm. Like, the kind with an italian name.
theculturewarrior Posted January 27, 2005 Posted January 27, 2005 Oh yeah, lil, I got your PM...response forthcoming.
MichaelFilo Posted January 27, 2005 Posted January 27, 2005 Cotton candy is good. A brand new truck is also good. I suggest you go with the baove suggestion though. God bless, Mikey
Lil Red Posted January 27, 2005 Author Posted January 27, 2005 i got him a nice razor thing awhile back, so that's taken care of. i dunno about the cream/balm stuff
MichaelFilo Posted January 27, 2005 Posted January 27, 2005 A good perfume always is nice, something with a name thats hard to pronounce? God bless, Mikey
theculturewarrior Posted January 27, 2005 Posted January 27, 2005 Well...sometimes they sell it in kits with cologne. Those kits can be a little pricey if you're a po' boy like me.
God Conquers Posted January 27, 2005 Posted January 27, 2005 Make him a sweet dinner. Then spend some quality time with him.
HomeTeamFamily Posted January 27, 2005 Posted January 27, 2005 get him one of those things that warm the shaving cream as it comes out of the can or how bout a nice pair of shoes or maybe like a wireless keyboard/mouse for the puter
MichaelFilo Posted January 27, 2005 Posted January 27, 2005 I said perfume!! I meant cologne. Of course you could get him perfume, but I don't think he'll appreciate it. Volo has some good points. God bless, Mikey
Thy Geekdom Come Posted January 27, 2005 Posted January 27, 2005 Personally, I like the cooking idea...something personal is always nice, but I'm not sure every guy would get the point. Whatever it is, I'll pray he enjoys it.
dUSt Posted January 27, 2005 Posted January 27, 2005 Well, I know what I'd want from my wife, but this isn't the place to make that known.
1337 k4th0l1x0r Posted January 27, 2005 Posted January 27, 2005 Get him some massage oil and then give him a massage.
Paladin D Posted January 27, 2005 Posted January 27, 2005
Well, I know what I'd want from my wife, but this isn't the place to make that known.
LOL!
Dave Posted January 27, 2005 Posted January 27, 2005 (edited) How about a piece of jewelry -- like a gold and diamond ring? Not a huge one that a pimp would wear, but like an anniversary ring. Edited January 27, 2005 by Dave

IcePrincessKRS Posted January 27, 2005 Posted January 27, 2005 (edited) Ok, so I'm not a guy... I just had to add in here, though, because Matt is really hard to buy gifts for, too, so I know how you feel! He's the type who, if he wants something he buys it so when it comes time to get him gifts it seems like theres nothing left to give him.
Make him a sweet dinner. Then spend some quality time with him.
Dinner and a boquet of roses (I always get white, they're special to Matt and I) is always good... I know, the guy is supposed to be the one to buy flowers, but with a hubby like mine (he doesn't think to get me flowers often... heck, I think he has twice in all the time we've been together lol) someone HAS to be the one to buy flowers, so if you get them you can at least pretend they are for you. lol And *ahem* quality time.... I don't think I need to say any more...
Well, I know what I'd want from my wife, but this isn't the place to make that known.
Yeah, that kind of quality time. lol
Get him some massage oil and then give him a massage.
Another EXTREMELY good idea, Bath and Body Works sells some really nice massage oils (I think for about 13 bucks a bottle), and if you get it for him he can give you massages, too. Its a win-win deal. lol
Build him a cake or something.
Build. haha Edited January 27, 2005 by IcePrincessKRS
DancesforLove Posted January 27, 2005 Posted January 27, 2005 Hey lilred, what about the boars bristle brush and the little dish that barbershops have? and the special soap for them, those are really nice. not cheap either lol
