You can pull off 2 years without pushing the envelope. However, do remember that she is legally underage, and if anything happends between you two, you are subject to legal action. I've seen it happen! But if you're a good Catholic couple, you're fine.

Age differences are insignificant when compared to faith differences. But remember, dating isn't just a way to have fun. It is a way to get to know yourself and your partner better, so that you can discern whether God is calling you to married life and to marriage with that person.

the age for "the age of consent" is different in each state. here i believe it's 17. can always look it up online.

i personally don't see anything wrong with dating someone younger (i'm unfortunately notorious for that). just as long as you're not doing anything you shouldn't be doing and the parents are fine with it. good luck
