I don't understand.
I didn't believe that we couldn't know, but I worried that we couldn't know...it's hard to describe...

I know what you mean. Now I do. With that in mind, I say...that is tough to describe. I must go, sorry, but I must finish my homework and get to sleep. Thank you all.

Sure thing. You won't see me much in the debates...all the bitterness on Bolt made me hate debate, but go ahead and challenge our experts.

Awww, I was denied on BB. All I wanted to do was lurk to learn more about what they believe. I have a friend who is Baptist and I've never been really sure about what he believes. Shame on them, denying a Christian who wants to learn more about the faith of others.

Yeah, you're right. I emailed to ask why. That really was my intention, one of my oldest and dearest friends is a self-made Baptist (meaning he wasn't raised as such) and I've always wondered just what the scoop is. Ah well, it is not the will of God that I learn about Baptists via the BB.

That is for the best. The BB is a very poor representation of Baptists. Most show faith and charity.

LOL Good point BA. And I suppose if I had really thought hard about it I could have just asked you! So, what DO Baptists believe anyways? In a nutshell that is...
I think if we could privately get a few of them to open up about the possibility that they don't know what they think they do, we could get them to come here.
You've hit the essence of conversion, right there. Now, if I could just get a few of you to admit you don't know what you think you know...

I'm joking, of course. I have no desire to convert anyone...despite how far from the truth their beliefs happen to be.

I'd suggest you read the Catechism, and that will tell you why we believe what we believe, and the Scriptures to back them up.

Ah, but just like it doesn't matter to you why the baptists believe what they believe, it doesn't matter to me why you believe the way you do.

Quite contrary. I was a Baptist for 22 years. I know why Baptists believe what they beleive.
