Being trans isn't a sin. The posts in question that brought this stuff about had to do with being trans.
It is not a sin, but it is disordered. Acting on it is.

Stop attacking other people for disagreeing with you on this. The only one on here being uncharitable is you.

What I said wasn't an attack it was a clarification.

Acting on being trans isn't a sin either. Show me the reference of Catholic church doctrine that says it is. Oh wait, you can't because it doesn't exist.

Ladies and Gentleman of Phatmass, a Prime example of something Misleading. Thank You. Point made.

anyway, to get back on track.

Aside from the occasional flame up, Phatmass is a positive site for Catholics of all ages. Again, I would suggest age-appropriate forums protected by passwords.

This isn't misleading! There is no catholic church doctrine on transgender people. That means there is no official church policy on whether or not acting on transgender desires is or is not a sin.

A prime example of you being completely ignorant on the matter but spouting your worthless opinion anyway.

Can we end the transexual debate already. Go in another thread. Stop making every thread about that.

I don't think anyone here is against anyone else. Now to the topic at hand.

ABout the passwords, i don't think it should be passworded, how many people won't ask then. THere are many reasons for it, but what about the guest that walks by and sees debates that are actual issues that teens face today and it changes their life.

it is not just the members that this forum is about, it is about a style of life that supports Christian Unity an authentic Church teaching.

Now could we keep this about what dust started and not have this whole thing a second time. I am really getting sick of it.

maybe we could have people directed to a sign in page automatically, so they have to give their ages. well...maybe that would be too complicated for our purposes...

Why? So that people can be free to lie in public? So that people can be free to say the kinds of things that made me attempt suicide at age 11? Not on my watch. I'm going to make sure that nobody can read these threads and be left believing that the church actually teaches something it doesn't teach.

 how will this solve anytihng? people could easily give the wrong age. pm should not be consored. parents should monitor what their children do online.

that's fine but you don't need to call people names, and you don't need to lose your patience. Trust me, you are doing more harm than good here.
We feel for you Spatha, and we want to help you. Your issue is one that the Church hasn't dealt with yet. All we can do is pray for you until we are taught about this by somebody with authority!

yeah...I changed my mind in mid post, but rather than erase it I just posted it...is that lazy?

The Church regards mutilation of the human body as sinful.
St. Paul lists the "effeminate" among those who shall not enter the kingdom of heaven.

We've had this argument before. I realize you have a difficult condition, and I'll pray for you. But I'm going to leave this discussion as it will go nowhere.

This prolonged arguing about this issue is not helping anything and was what started the problem in the first place. Some problems are best left private and not spilled all over the forum. Stop picking fights over this.

Phatmass is good. Peace.

You say this and then you say things like what Socrates said implying that you have the authority. How could I not lose my patience when I have to go in circles with you people on the most basic of issues? This is intolerable.

I'm sick of getting the "you shove it in our faces" line of carp from people who bring it up themselves. I'm more than sick of being called a homosexual or people telling me I have SSA. But no matter how often I explain it they turn around and pretend I never did. Like when I say I was born trans. People freak out and tell me that my daddy didn't love me enough or that it was some nonsensical environmental cause. I'm the person with the disorder, I think I'd know best. But somehow, having the disorder renders my opinion useless.

How can you expect me to have any patience left?
