Ironically, my brother's Windows XP is setup to look just like a Mac running OS X right now. Personally I don't have a lot of experience with OS X, but one of the reasons I always liked Windows better than earlier Mac OS versions is that it let you get much more "under the hood." Of course Linux lets you do this still more, but you have to be much more of a nerd (read: smarter) to do so.

I'm kind of a minimalist with my operating system and Windows XP is good at letting me see precisely how few services are required for it to still run. That is probably directly related to my being a gamer and wanting to squeeze absolutely as much performance as possible from my computer, especially as it begins to get old. One thing which, I think, cannot be argued is that OS X is teh sexiest.
