Hey all. As I was sitting in adoration tonight for the first time in quite a while, a thought struck me. Why do we all sit on PM at all hours of the day, for multiple hours at a time, when we could be sitting WITH CHRIST IN THE FLESH at adoration. He's waiting for us to spend time WITH Him, not just sit online and talk ABOUT Him. He wants us to talk TO Him. So my challenge to all of you is this. The next time you plan to sit down at your computer to jump on phatmass to chat or leave random posts (we're all guilty of that, myself included), stop, walk away from the computer, and head to the nearest adoration chapel. Spend some time with our Lord. Phatmass will be there when you come home. Step up people, who's up for this challenge? You should jump at it if you call yourself faithful. Who's ready?

As long as we're at it, daily Mass rocks.

That is all.

And if you can't get to Jesus in a church or chapel, check out http://www.savior.org. They have a live cam of the blessed sacrament.

err... That's one bad thing about living out of town and not having my own car, Can't get to adoration.

Aaaaaaargh.

No church in my town. Nearest church in the next town is locked except for Sat eve/Sunday masses. Nearest adoration is 40 miles away. We have one car and I don't drive.

I do have savior.org running all the time, though.

:weep:

We don't have a perpetual adoration chapel at my parish... however, I am signed up for the 11pm-12am slot when we do have adoration the first Friday-Saturday of the month. And I usually go periodically throughout the day(s) depending on what else is going on.

I agree.. daily Mass rocks. Provided of course, the associate pastor at my parish is not desecratin-- I mean, "celebrating" it.. (1 more month, then another letter to the bishop...)

Right now I have in a Christian Cd as I talk on PM and I come here to hang out and to relax. For some reason this place has a strange calming effect like of course it's the same feeling I get from going to Mass or any type of worship service or meeting with other Christians.

Keep in mind that while adoration in front of the Exposed Blessed Sacrament is optimal, it would be powerful to one's prayer to just find an open Catholic Church and pray before the tabernacle. I do it every morning.

So I guess I am saying that we shouldn't wait for Adoration, we should seek to set ourselves at the feet of Jesus in the tabernacle.

Peace.

We only have one Cathederal that offers Latin Mass in the entire Archdiocese and it is closed for repairs. (but we do have one tridentine mass)

some of us, sadly, don't have the ability to exercise all these great desires...but that doesn't mean I don't want them.

Alas, to be lacking a means of transportation... just a couple more months!
