Apparently its very treatable but its important you know u have it cause some medicines react badly with it. Like ppl said- trust in God, Take it one day at a time, you'll overcome this bump in the road but dont like things get you down. Remeber JESUS LOVES YOU! God bless and prayers
Catholictothecore Posted June 15, 2005 Posted June 15, 2005 God can do amazing things through anybody, TCW. No doubt in my mind that you will be the same. Peace, brudda!
theculturewarrior Posted June 15, 2005 Author Posted June 15, 2005 My doctor said I should show considerable improvement next week.

Seven77 Posted June 16, 2005 Posted June 16, 2005 Man, you sounded more sane than a lot of people at those moments you had... wow... suffering really does teach us how to love!
theculturewarrior Posted July 19, 2005 Author Posted July 19, 2005 When I was sick, the only reason I knew that I existed, was because I knew that Jesus really exists in the Eucharist.
theculturewarrior Posted July 20, 2005 Author Posted July 20, 2005 When I was sick, I laid a flower at the Little Flower's feet. It was a flower my niece had given me, and I realized that it was the flower of my faith, and my conversion is a grace God has given to my niece, because He does not leave us orphans. The flower died, and I realized that my niece would die, and that I would die, and I wondered if my faith would die, and looking back, the danger was there. As the medicine left my body, though, I realized that all men die, and we must die to ourselves to live. Every day, I told the Little Flower, "I am your flower now." Today, I was taking my niece to Six Flags. My mom said, "Why don't you go see the Shrine to the Little Flower first?" So my niece and I went there before mass, and we looked around. They are renovating it. It was difficult to kneel and pray, because of the noise, but they had a chapel with a statue of St. Therese, it was the scene from her funeral, and she looked beautiful. And then we went to the gift shop and looked around, and my niece bought my mom a little rosary pin with an image of the Little Flower. Then we went to mass. They were Carmelite friars. All throughout the mass, I wondered if God wanted me to be a Carmelite. I don't know, but if I was going to join any order, I would like to be a Carmelite most of all. He'll let me know what He wants. I'm happy where I am. It was a beautiful day.
philothea Posted July 20, 2005 Posted July 20, 2005 (edited) I think you'd be a nice Carmelite, you weirdo. (Edited to add: You know I mean this in only the nicest way, I hope! I'm playing with the title of the thread.) Edited July 20, 2005 by philothea

Anastasia13 Posted July 21, 2005 Posted July 21, 2005 I once wrote a song about not settling for bad stuff and several people thought it sounded suicidal.
theculturewarrior Posted July 21, 2005 Author Posted July 21, 2005 I think it was a birthday present from the Little Flower. theculturewarrior Posted July 24, 2005 Author Posted July 24, 2005 Want to hear something really weird? (Inspired by the_rev's vocation thread)... My birthday is on the same day the Carmelites celebrate St. Elijah, the Father of Mount Carmel, and my father wanted to name me Elijah when I was born. I'm a little scared right now.
theculturewarrior Posted July 28, 2005 Author Posted July 28, 2005 The first time I got sick, I thought I was in hell, but I know now, even if I was, I could call on God, and He would save me.
