Guest Eremite Posted July 1, 2005 Posted July 1, 2005 You think that after watching humans for thousands of years, the aliens would have figured out that humans have nowhere to go but their cellars. If you really want to exterminate them, destroy everything in sight. Don't send your stupid camera to look around. Just destroy.

sarcasmguy126 Posted July 3, 2005 Posted July 3, 2005 saw it yesterday...it was fantastic!!! but i did notice the camcorder glitch after the power went out. but the cameras weren't clicking or flashing...i guess only the camcorders worked!
flip Posted July 3, 2005 Posted July 3, 2005 Saw it last night aliens scare me but it was pretty cheesey and dissapointing at moments. but i was scared
Apotheoun Posted July 6, 2005 Posted July 6, 2005 I'm not a Tom Cruise fan, but I actually liked "The War of the Worlds." It was a well made movie, and the special visual effects are some of the best I've ever seen. The only thing that disappointed me was the ending, not the speed of it, but the fact that the ex-wife at the end, and her husbands family, looked so neat and clean, as if nothing had happened in Boston. I was also someone disappointed that the teenage son lived, because I don't know how anyone could have survived the massive attack he ran straight into. It was one of the only truly unbelievable things in the movie. But then it is science fiction.
Cathurian Posted July 6, 2005 Posted July 6, 2005 I thought it was the scariest movie I've ever seen and I really like it. Especially the camera part, that was just so creepy.
Apotheoun Posted July 6, 2005 Posted July 6, 2005 The camera part? Do you mean the scene where the man was videotaping the attack, and then he dropped the camera and was vaporized? The funny thing about that scene is that his video camera shouldn't have worked because of the EMP emitted by the alien electrical storm. Of course the film tries to solve that problem later on by intimating that the EMP's were highly localized phenomena.
Cathurian Posted July 9, 2005 Posted July 9, 2005 No, I mean the part where the alien camera was poking around in the basement.
sarcasmguy126 Posted July 9, 2005 Posted July 9, 2005 uhhh...it wasn't a camera! it was some sort of mechanical eye! cause it "saw" Rachel at one point!
justin165243 Posted July 10, 2005 Posted July 10, 2005 I loved it, but somehow thought it was missing somehting

robguitar Posted July 11, 2005 Posted July 11, 2005 I thought about it but after Tom Cruize started jumping on furniture and then telling Matt Laur that he knows "the history of psychiatry", I don't really want to see it. I'm also tired of seeing his picture with that "Joker" grin too. I thought the original was great.
