littleflower+JMJ Posted July 3, 2005 Posted July 3, 2005 Hi I just wanted the pham know that JMJTINA (shes a church miltant here) needs prayers because today at mass she fainted before going into the communion line. she couldn't get up or anything. She went to the ER and is not doing too good. We thought it was the flu that she had awhile back but it turns out its not that. She doesn't have enough blood (turns out she had less than 50% of what she was suppose to have) and something is wrong with her liver. she was very pale I come to the pham for prayers for her.....we're really worried over here at home. thank you.
phatcatholic Posted July 3, 2005 Posted July 3, 2005 GASP!! GOODNESS GRACIOUS!! definite prayers for her!! she's always been a good friend to me and she has such a great spirit. she deserves to never be sick. tell her i will be thinking of her.
Apotheoun Posted July 3, 2005 Posted July 3, 2005 For JMJtina's health: Lord Jesus Christ, Son of God, have mercy on me, a sinner. May the Lord comfort her during this crisis, and in His mercy may He give her spiritual and physical healing.

UPDATE: my bro just got home and said that they do not know how her body will react to the blood transfusion. her liver is inflammed adn they dont know if it will reject the new blood or not. (which is really bad since they dont know whats wrong with it) her blood measure was soo low that they said she shouldn't have even been functional.they said if she would have just died if she hadn't gone in at the time she did, her body would have just shut down very quickly since none of her body was getting oxygen. the blood measurement was suppose to be way above 13 or something....and hers was barely 6 (which is why she fainted) she needs prayers!!!!!!!!!!!! That there is no damage or anything since she got in so late... Pray that her blood transfusion goes okay...shes getting it tonight!!
Apotheoun Posted July 3, 2005 Posted July 3, 2005 I have an icon of St. Panteleimon the all-merciful healer, and I will pray to him that he give the gift of healing to JMJTina. He lived at the end of the third century and converted to Christianity through the influence of St. Ermolaos. After his conversion he used his gifts of healing to help his fellow Christians, which at the time was illegal. Eventually he was betrayed by some of the other doctors he worked with, who were jealous of his healing abilities, and he was later tortured and suffered martyrdom for the faith. Holy and Victorious Panteleimon the Healer, intercede with our merciful God that He may grant us remission of our sins. St. Panteleimon you emulated God's mercy, and He granted you the power of healing. O Panteleimon, victorious martyr of Christ! Heal our spiritual diseases through your intercession, and as we constantly cry out to the Lord, "Save us!" take away the temptations which the enemy always places before us. Amen.
Kilroy the Ninja Posted July 3, 2005 Posted July 3, 2005 You of course have our prayers. Tell her to hang in there! And you do the same!
phatcatholic Posted July 3, 2005 Posted July 3, 2005 Prayer for the Sick, by St. Augustine:
Watch, O Lord, with those who wake, or watch, or weep tonight, and give your angels charge over those who sleep. Tend your sick ones, O Lord Christ. Rest your weary ones. Bless your dying ones. Soothe your suffering ones. Pity your afflicted ones. Shield your joyous ones. And for all your love's sake. Amen.
jasJis Posted July 3, 2005 Posted July 3, 2005 I am praying for Tina and the family. God's grace be with you all.
homeschoolmom Posted July 3, 2005 Posted July 3, 2005 That is so sad and very scary. Prayers for sure...
Theologian in Training Posted July 3, 2005 Posted July 3, 2005 ""Come to me, all you who labor and are burdened, and I will give you rest." May you, your family, and especially Tina find rest in the healing power of Christ. May He draw her close, that she may unite her sufferings to Christ's own, and through the intercession of Our Sorrowful Mother we now pray: Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou, amongst women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death. Amen.
Fides_et_Ratio Posted July 3, 2005 Posted July 3, 2005 any more updates? ... many prayers (I'll be leaving for Mass shortly as well)!
