I hate to sound like a jerk, but Ill say it anyway.

These people are weak. I've lived fine without sex, or anything else for that matter.

Their whole view is focused on the physical.
If you realize what a wonderful gift God has given us and why abstinence is so important then it's not that hard.

These people are blind we must pray for them

Abstinense fails because the person is weak. period. no one every said it would be easy but ill take it over hell and a worn out body.

[quote]We believe in God.
We believe that sex is sacred.
We believe in caring for each other.
We believe in using condoms.

They basically just negated themselves with that last line. Idiota! They cannot say that sex is sacred and that condoms are okay. By using a condom, you are holding something back from your wife and ultimately God. You might as well as say, "I love you honey, but not with my whole heart." Neither are they caring for each other. If you truly care and love for someone, why would you put a boundary in between the two of you? :irate:

Well now, the last I checked, abstinence meant refraining from sex. It seems to me, if someone doesn't refrain from sex, that would make it NOT abstinence. Therefore, it doesn't mean abstinence failed, it means the person failed to practice abstinence. Well now. I hate it when people act like teenagers have no willpower, like we're not up for a challenge, and need provisions made to natural law so we can "have fun".

They do make one pretty good point, which is when you are in the heat of the moment it's very difficult to choose otherwise. For adolescents, our hormones can be very powerful. However, this does NOT negate the gift of free will that God gave us. If anything, it warps our willpower. Furthermore, someone who would put themeselves into a situation like the one they describe seriously needs to work on their convictions and strength of will. Abstinence is an exercise of the free will to choose something right.
