goldenchild17 Posted July 18, 2005 Posted July 18, 2005 Of course the Catholic stuff here is the bestest but as far as non-Catholic Christian stuff: Grits Cross Movement Thousand Foot Krutch Pillar Relient K Stacie Orrico Third Day DC Talk Out of Eden Switchfoot has some good songs Casting Crowns does too
God's Errand Girl Posted July 18, 2005 Posted July 18, 2005 My favortie Christian artist is Jennifer Knapp. She sounds kind of like Natalie Merchant, but her music has a lot of guitar. She writes all of her music and lyrics.
SRMartin15 Posted July 18, 2005 Author Posted July 18, 2005 Well Seems to me that i have a lot of music seeking ahead of me. Thank you all by the way for posting. Keep them coming i would love to hear more thoughts on there favorite Christian (catholic) bands. Also Rocks and Texas, correct me if im wrong but those bands arent Christian music bands. Its ok though i appreciate the post regardless Sean
DemonSlayer Posted July 18, 2005 Posted July 18, 2005 (edited)
1. Slayer 2. System of a Down 3. Nirvana 4. Norma Jean 5. AC/DC there are probably some more, but i'm too lazy to think of them
Yeah, it was meant to be favourite Christian bands. I know about Cannibal Corpse though, I don't like them too much, but musically they're not too bad, I don't listen to much grindcore though. Edited July 18, 2005 by DemonSlayer

davefromcm Posted July 18, 2005 Posted July 18, 2005 For those of you who haven't listed Catholic bands, is it because you percieve a lack of quality from the Catholic artists, or is it because there just doesn't seem to be a place to hear the music. As one of several Catholic musicians on these groups, it is discouraging to hear discussions of bands and have almost no Catholic bands mentioned I'd love for you guys to check out http://www.catholicrock.com/otecritmass.rm to see what you guys think about the new Critical Mass' album. Thanks Dave
SRMartin15 Posted July 18, 2005 Author Posted July 18, 2005 Rocks n Texas its all good Dave your stuff is pretty good i liked it. Keep it up man it only gets easier Sean
Lounge Daddy Posted July 19, 2005 Posted July 19, 2005 Favorite Catholic artists? MLFG (electricdisk), Mars Ill, Righteous B, MC Just, P5C, Seven Sorrows, and Fiti …as soon as he becomes a Catholic
DemonSlayer Posted July 19, 2005 Posted July 19, 2005 I mostly listen to metal, so there aren't too many Catholic ones. But my favourite are Eterna, Uniao, Apocalipse Prophecy, Illuminadi, Matt Maher and Backyard Galaxy.
avemaria40 Posted July 19, 2005 Posted July 19, 2005 (edited) I also like Switchfoot, they're pretty good, sry, i already posted, lol Edited July 19, 2005 by avemaria40
ardent1 Posted July 19, 2005 Posted July 19, 2005 (edited) I'd have to say that my tastes lean towards DemonSlayer's, with some of ardillacid and sweetpea's as well. But my all-time favorite "Christian band" would have to be the powerfully inspiring mewithoutYou. Edit:: ....rocksntexas has great taste. Edited July 19, 2005 by ardent1
