EcceNovaFacioOmni Posted July 18, 2005 Posted July 18, 2005 It's as if they thought being "ordained" in international waters would make the orders valid.
homeschoolmom Posted July 18, 2005 Posted July 18, 2005 Even if they were "ordained"... which diocese would "get" them...? It's just totally stupid.
Aloysius Posted July 18, 2005 Posted July 18, 2005 I'd throw any host they "consecrated" into a bonfire.
Didacus Posted July 18, 2005 Posted July 18, 2005
if they were working to change from within they would be working as agents of satan... female priests are an impossibility I would schism over if ever "changed".
i am uncertain if priests being male is part of the infallib le teachings of the church or not. Are the reasons doctrinal in nature or historical? In any case, should they genuinely seek the change from within, they would not be 'satan's little helper', but simply find the truth within the church, eventually come to understand it and accept it. It is true they can attack the church from within as well... but this was not what I was alluding to.
Aloysius Posted July 18, 2005 Posted July 18, 2005 Ordinatio Sacerdolis by John Paul II makes it clear that it is a doctrinal matter as taught by the universal ordinary magisterium coming to us from Apostolic Tradition. it is de fide, proper matter for the sacrament of holy orders may only be male.

Ah, and so thus be the case - NEVER will this change. NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER!!! No amount of screaming or criticism will bring the church to bend on this issue - EVER. The matter is closed, and need not be discussed. Those who are displeased need to be pointed to the awnsers, and have these explained to them. If then, still they refuse or refute it, the sin will be theirs, and theirs alone. (would you happen to be able to provide a good link to this info?)
avemaria40 Posted July 18, 2005 Posted July 18, 2005 why am i not surprised that they were excommunicated?

Old_Joe Posted July 19, 2005 Posted July 19, 2005 It's good to see the eldest daughter of the Church is making a stand. She's been a little disobedient at times.
