I would like to share with you the few experiences i have had with evil......when i was a little boy i saw a demon. I was in my room at night about to go to sleep and i saw this creature like shadow move across the wall. My room was dark and the walls were dark yet the creature appeared to be pitch black. I remember a overwhelming shear of terror just coming over me. I tried to scream to get my mothers attention (she was in the bathroom) but i was so scared i couldnt scream.

I had my second encounter with a demon like entity not too long ago.....i am 22 years old now. This was no creature.......it was spirit like. I could barely make out any physical features but i noted faint facial features and what stuck out the most was the glowing red eyes. Its strange to me how these possible demon encounters were different in their physical features. The first "demon" i saw didnt have glowing red eyes. The second demon i saw was not a shadow......i could see through it and it appeared to be almost white like your typical casper the ghost.

Something else that has been happening to me.....sometimes i wonder if i have been temporarily possessed in a few instances. Sometimes i will wake up in the morning and its like something takes control of me. When this happens i am in a subconscious state of mind. Its like i am sadduced or something. I dont know what is going on around me and i dont know where i am.....but when i regain consciousness i realize i am in my bed. Anyways, when this happens its like this entity that possesses me always seems to have one thing to say, using me to say it of course......."you are mine". Then i always muster up the energy to tell it (with my mind) to go away.....then it does.

It would possibly be of help to me if someone could share a similar experience or provide an insite as to what is happening to me.

I have had a few.... nothing to that extreme.

I was here in my house alone, wife was up north. I was about to go to bed, I stepped into my room, and someone was on the other side of my bed, and looked up at me, since it was dark, only a little light was in the room, I could only see it's silhouette, I thought someone came through the window ( which was closed ), the lightswitch was about four feet behind me, I leaped back, hit the light then leaped forward ready to fight, nothing was there. Some will say, maybe it was just a shadow... Well, it moved and it was not on the wall, it was about six and half feet tall and large.

Flash forward a few months... my mother in law just moved in. She shares a room with my daughter. Up until my daughter was born, the room was just empty and had a futon for guests. No food has ever been in that room. The windows were closed, the vent was closed, the only way for anything to get in and out was through the door, or under the door. I came home one day to find my wife and mother in law killing flies. They were in the living room, walked into the bedroom and it was swarming with about 50-100 flies. There were so many that they used the shop vac to get them out of the air and had to go buy bug spray for the rest. Since then, I placed my Crucifix of St. Benedict on my daughters wall above her bed. It was blessed by a priest. There has never been another fly in that room. Now, I have searched that room high and low, and could not find out how the flies, and that many flies, would have entered, or even why they entered.... nothing to attract them.

Oh, one of the people that lived here before me, blew his head off with a shotgun. My neighbor was telling me how he helped clean up the blood.


If you are really encountering demons and it's not your imagination, know this, they will lie. You might want to start praying the Rosary... it is one of the most powerful prayers and get a Crucifix of St. Benedict, have it blessed and keep it with you.

I have never seen a demon, but I can sometime sense a presence of evil sometimes either in daylight or sometimes in the dark, but I always pray hail mary's right away and then the rising feelingof terror immedietely subsides. mary is she who crushes the head of the serpent and the demons know this- they fear her too...since she shatters their leader...and also....sometimes i have gotten a feeling not of possession but possibly obsession, as has one of my guy friends. his is more severe where he is literally paralyzed for periods of time, usually after he has had a dream of demons entering his room...i have had a similiar feeling of paralysis but it is more like i all of a sudden a seized by terror and fear and cannot move... due to a kindof internal feeling of screaming taking me not from me but from around and in..... even thouhg it will be complete silence and utter quiet...it is scary but it passes...

When I was younger, before I even became religious, I would get these temptations in my head, saying I loved Satan, so I would repeat in my head over and over, "I love God and hate the devil". Keep in mind, even though I believed in God, I was not religious. I have a hunch these thoughts were demonic, perhaps an attempt to break my will and possess me.

I don't know how common it is, but sometimes things just get dark. It is like the happiness just drains away. Shadow and everything just gets wierd. You can feel it...... a cruel malice just present.

That is bad enough. I can't imagine what one in physical form would be like.

Thankfully I've never really had an evil encounter. Once I went to a coffee house and I could just feel some sort of evil, dark prescence behind me in the corner (by the bathroom). I'd keep on jumping and looking, no one was there, but I wanted OUT of that place.

The place has since closed and now a little Japanese sushi joint is there. I'd been to the place many other times, but never experienced such creepy things.

Of course, now that I think about it, it occured during the time when I was first deciding to join the Catholic Church, hanging out with the person who was instrumental in showing me the Church. I love God. :wub:

Well, I posted this in the "unexplained" thread on Open Mic, but I'll paste it here for you guys. This is my personal experience, and like I said in the other thread, whether or not you believe it makes no difference to me, but let me say I would have ABSOLUTELY no trouble swearing on The Bible that this is actually what I experienced, told to the best of my ability.

I would get my answer soon enough. The scarriest thing about this demon was that I knew that if it got out of the cage that it would kill me. I knew it would devour me whole or rip me to shreds. No question. It had the perfect teeth for the job. I was up close and personal with those teeth every night for several nights. Every time I had that dream I woke up as soon as it ended. Nothing ever happened, and all in all it was a short dream, however scarry it may have been. One night , however, I woke up to my sheets being literally ripped off of me. I did not open my eyes. Something told me that was a definately bad idea. Another strage thing is that I generally sleep either in the fetal position or on my stomach. My mom tells me I've slept that way ever since I was a baby. This time, I was flat on my back, arms outstretched with my forarms and upper arms at right angles (picture the "don't shoot" position for a visual), so I tried to roll over. Bad idea. I was pinned to the bed and as I regained more consciousness I could feal hands on my wrists holding my arms still. Now, I have a black belt in Taekwondo and have learned well what it feels like to have my wrists grabbed like that. One of the most memorable experiences of this was having a 7 foot 300 and something pound policeman peform the exact same move on me when I was about 14 years old and 150 pounds at most. This guy was all muscle. I told you that to tell you this. Whatever had my wrists that night had a grip that was infinately stronger. I couldn't even rotate my hand. Nothing. On top of this, there was an equally strong force holding my legs in place. I could feel the "hands" there too. There was also the distinct feeling of either long fingernails or claws digging into my skin in both locations. Also, it felt as if someone were squeezing my testicles. I'm sorry if that isn't appropriate for the phorum, but I'm just trying to be exact.I knew that the demon from my dream had me. I also knew that God had been warning me all along, and still consider this a great blessing. I had committed that sin three times that day. My first instinct was to start praying Hail Marys. Can you tell I'm a cradle Catholic? So anyway, every time I got to the word "Jesus" the demons grip lossened momentarily untill eventually it left as quickly as it had attacked. I was so exhausted that I just rolled over and went to sleep. Several strange things were noticable when I woke up the next morning. First, my Rosary was in my hand. I never sleep with my Rosary and clearly remember putting it on my nightstand (which is actually a good 6 feet from my bed) the night before. There is ABSOLUTELY no way I could have grabbed it at any point during the night. It was also disassembled. The metal loops had literally been stretched, opened, and taken apart. For anyone who carries thier Rosary in thier pocket, you've probably experienced the same phenomenon except that you have a rational explanation. Also, my sheets were not only off the bed, but up against the wall, again about 6 feet from the foot of my bed. Even with Taekwondo I couldn't have kicked a light sheet that far across a room. And finally, the most disturbing thing. I had literal scratches on my wrists and ankles in the exact place I had felt the "claws" the night before. I wish now that I would have taken pictures, but I was more than a little shaken up and didn't even think about it.

So that was my increadably unnerving night. Some other things happened when we first moved into our hose, but this post is already log enough. I'll save those stories for another time if anyone is interested.[/quote]

A few things in this thread really stuck out.

Pope Leo XIII died in 1903 and if, in fact, that story is true...and why wouldnt it be?....then that brings us to modern day.

I used to see things, much like many of you had. Everything moved interiorly though when I started getting into my faith and understand the Church and her teachings more. I would hear voices telling to hate, to think bad thoughts. Yes, the Rosary helps as well as praying the Hail Mary when that happens. Or if Im tired I tell them to just shut up or my mom(Mary) will kick their butts.


Yeah, there is one story. But it isnt demonic. It was a dream. I woke up crying, but I wont tell it now since it doesnt fit into the thread and in honesty I have to see if its 'played' out. Im not looking for a literal interpretation or 'rerun' of this dream in the reality, that would be asking for way too much but rather I am at least hoping for the same conclusion.

I do remember my sis telling me that one night when we were younger and shared a room she woke up and couldnt breathe because something was on her chest. She said she couldnt move either. She said it was wierd cause she could feel her dog at her side with her head on her stomach but that wasnt it. She was terrified, because she felt it was a demon. She tried to call out to me for help, but couldnt.
She said the only thing she could think of to do was recite mentally, "Get thee behind me Satan." She said it worked.
