reelguy227 Posted July 22, 2005 Posted July 22, 2005 (edited) [quote name='Ash Wednesday' date='Jul 22 2005, 12:09 PM']Indeed, homosexuals wanting marriage not just part of law, but also in the church, do this not merely for the "right" but because they want to feel validated and they want approval of their actions (i.e. open practice of homosexual behavior). They can be and are welcomed in the church, only they must accept the church teachings of homosexuality acts as sinful and accept the church's concept of celibacy. I think what you meant to say is that 'Homosexual acts will never be acceptable within church doctrine and teachings.". Correct me if I am wrong... PS: anyone notice (hot stuff?) that I have now reached and surpassed 800 posts!!! Catching up to old Joe.... catching up I say!

Sirklawd Posted July 22, 2005 Posted July 22, 2005 (edited) Ash Wednesday said: I'll add one more thing: where is the movement for gay marriage within orthodox Judaism or Islam? gooooooooood point edit: i give up, i dont know how to use quotes, and when i attemped to fix this post, my whole comp crashed - boo to macs. Didacus Posted July 22, 2005 Posted July 22, 2005 The thnking imparred? What's you message with that? I don't think that Judaism nor Islam battled nearly as much as 10% as the Cahtolic church when it came t othis issue. islam has its own problems (war in iraq?) and personnally, I don't htink I'd trade. Judaism is simply too small a community in the world and in North America to retain notable attention from gay groups and the such... I imagine they are just watching the show and staying very quiet about it all I can't blame them for it... God bless those wonderful pageans!
