It interests me in what the public perceives regarding the US effort in Iraq. As you can see, I am NOT asking about what got us here, but how we are doing since we've been here. Please add your reasoning for your response to the question, this is what interests me the most.

I think that the second the US stepped into Iraq the whole situation was a mess and still is. I also think that calling it a "conflict" is just the same as calling the War in Korea a "police action".

My brother's been to Iraq twice already (he was there when it first started and when they seized Fallujah). He'll probably be going back eventually.

I don't know whether the war was/is just, or whether it is practically expedient for us to be in Iraq. But if it WAS and IS, then we must do what must be done. Freedom isn't free.

I think my brother in law is able to get online about once a week (for half an hour at a time, my sister said that recently the internet has been down so its been harder) and use the phone at least once a day.

If your sick of all the Biastness on regular media, you sould check out the Military Channel for 24 hours a day 7 days a week. Military News.

Iraq is actually under control for the most part, theres just 1 or 2 major regions that are seeing bad results.

I'd say the Iraq ordeal is stabilizing. even though it looks different. I'm beginning not to trust. MSNBC, CNN, Fox News, or even the basic cable news networks. I dont think they present all the time crediable evidence to prove whats happening in the War of Terrorism.

Yeah, if you want to know whats going on over there you really have to talk to the men and women who are THERE.

My Iraqi in-laws, many of whom lived in Iraq, tell me that things are stablizing. It's mostly in the cities where insurgents have continued to delay repair of utilities that things are kinda worse. It never was near American standards of living.

Good luck to Iraq, and may the allies be able to leave as soon as possible.

I beleive though we didn't find WMD the war was still good, (though no war is.) WE took a person who was against human life out of office, and now are helping in a sense to build a better way of life in Iraq.
