Tony Posted August 13, 2005 Posted August 13, 2005 I kinda am.. I mean its a wonderful thing and all.. but... wow.. there are sooooooooooooooo many people... I tihnk I would easily get lost... lol... my sense of direction.. its not there..Maybe id be fine if I was with a huge group of people I trusted.. but .. I dunno, huge crowds like that scare me
Catholictothecore Posted August 13, 2005 Posted August 13, 2005 I am so envious of everyone going. I've told my mom "I don't care what's happening in our lives, I don't care which continent it's on, I will be at the next WYD."
Tony Posted August 13, 2005 Author Posted August 13, 2005 better get planning on going to Australia then
Catholictothecore Posted August 13, 2005 Posted August 13, 2005 Awesome. (reminds self to pack a gajillion tubes of sunscreen.
qfnol31 Posted August 13, 2005 Posted August 13, 2005 Now watch is be somewhere else. : I am, but that's because I spent four months in Roma and Europe (including Germany), so I'm not missing too much. And oddly enough, my trip was cheaper.
Catholictothecore Posted August 13, 2005 Posted August 13, 2005 I'm not going because my diocese wanted 5000 dollars a person so that they could book 5-star hotels in Germany. I'm so ticked at that. I mean, IT'S A PILGRIMAGE, WHO WANTS TO STAY AT A FIVE STAR HOTEL ON A PILGRIMAGE!
Ash Wednesday Posted August 13, 2005 Posted August 13, 2005 I for one wish I could be there. I wanna see Papa! I was at WYD 2002. It was awesome.
Funky_R Posted August 13, 2005 Posted August 13, 2005 Ah the wonder of Paint. I really did want to go, but I just can't afford it all. Maybe someday.
immaculata Posted August 13, 2005 Posted August 13, 2005 I would have loved to have gone, but seeing as I'm moving up to school on Monday and starting my week-long freshman orientation.... it's probably a good thing that I didn't go.
zwergel88 Posted August 13, 2005 Posted August 13, 2005 This will probably sound horrible, but I actually chose not to go, I had booked the trip but then canceled for a lot of reasons. Mostly I just didn't feel comfortable going to far away from home without my parents. I have never left home for very long, and I don't do very well on my own. (I'm only 16, so I'm trying to not to be too hard on myself for being afraid.) Also, I'm afraid of airplanes, I just don't understand how they stay up.
MissScripture Posted August 14, 2005 Posted August 14, 2005 Part of me wishes I was their, and part of me knows that I'm not meant to be. If I was supposed to be there, I would be.
curtins Posted August 14, 2005 Posted August 14, 2005 my freind left for germany today. He's there with his family till the 29th. Sounds like hes going to wyd? heck no!! Im like are you crazy!?!??!?!

However, I would have went in a heartbeat. You gotta cut those apron strings sometime. If one to many passangers starts to doubt that planes are capable of flight, then said airplane will crash.
Lil Red Posted August 14, 2005 Posted August 14, 2005 i'm kinda glad. all those crowds would make me have a panic attack.
