zabbazooey Posted August 19, 2005 Posted August 19, 2005 I posted this in the Vocation Station but I want others to give me feedback too. Okay I like this guy....and he's so cool. He's perfect. He's gorgeous, funny, clever, just everything. Except he makes fun of Catholicism, God, Jesus, and nuns. WHY AM I ATTRACTED TO HIM?!??!! I know I can't help it, but everything else is just so wonderful. WHY HIM, LORD? I CAN'T CONVERT HIM! Why can't I just be a nun?!?!? P.S. I'm so going to regret admitting this, but he throws his cigarette butts at pro life activists again, WHY THE HELL AM I ATTRACTED TO THIS [expletive deleted]????
zabbazooey Posted August 19, 2005 Author Posted August 19, 2005 I'm so confused. I don't know what to do. I see him all the time!
zabbazooey Posted August 19, 2005 Author Posted August 19, 2005 He takes classes where I teach. BTW he is my age. it's martial arts/fencing classes
sweetpea316 Posted August 19, 2005 Posted August 19, 2005 How unfortunate.... too bad that those few things are the big things that make all the difference...
zabbazooey Posted August 19, 2005 Author Posted August 19, 2005 Yeah if it wasn't for that whole hating God and Catholics thing, we'd be set!
sweetpea316 Posted August 19, 2005 Posted August 19, 2005 Exactly... I don't know him or anything, but there are some situations where it can work out. Heh, but I dunno all the details about this one. But hey, the day after I met my guy, I called my mom and told her that I'd met the guy who was perfect for me...except that he's Catholic! And look at me now!
philothea Posted August 19, 2005 Posted August 19, 2005 Hormones don't know anything about morality. As long as you don't indulge in excessive fantasies or socializing, you will probably get over him fairly soon.
zabbazooey Posted August 19, 2005 Author Posted August 19, 2005 (edited) He's a carbon copy of my ex except he's not as immature. This guy's only 17, my ex was 23. So that's pretty pathetic. Ohhhh I want it to work out, but he just hates God & pro life activists. I think to myself, "If I were Our Lady, would I be hanging around this guy?" And I know the beaver dam answer, it just STINKS. We've been flirting with each other for almost 2 years now.... . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . GRRR WHY DOES HE HAVE TO BE SO RUDE? Edited August 19, 2005 by zabbazooey
the_rev Posted August 19, 2005 Posted August 19, 2005 I don't know what I'd do If i was you.... I know the girl that I'm in a very long distance relationship with, talk about US to Bosnia.... but it works out cause I travel over there once or twice a year depending upon my freuquent flyer miles. She is the one for me I know, and she speaks English better than me.
zabbazooey Posted August 19, 2005 Author Posted August 19, 2005 Well this isn't long distance, but he is a jerkface when it comes to catholicism.
franciscanheart Posted August 19, 2005 Posted August 19, 2005 what happened to being a priest? not to hijack the thread.....
Nicole8223 Posted August 19, 2005 Posted August 19, 2005 It sounds like the age old "Girl attracted to bad boy" syndrome. I've been through it a million times myself. You find him attractive cause he is rebelling in a way you can't. He doesn't sound like he is the type of guy you want to be with...so just try to focus on other things....(easier said than done, I know.) Praying for ya!
zabbazooey Posted August 19, 2005 Author Posted August 19, 2005 Huh? I said I wanted to be a nun.................................?
philothea Posted August 19, 2005 Posted August 19, 2005 Zabbazoey, I think hughey was talking to Eddie (the_rev). She must have missed his post where he decided his vocation (for now) was to being a teenager. Back on subject... you probably shouldn't be flirting with this guy.
zabbazooey Posted August 19, 2005 Author Posted August 19, 2005 I know.....but it's sooo hard. He's not healthy for me , I know. Believe me, I KNOW. I will try to stop and pray whenever I feel the urge coming up. :
Christie_M Posted August 19, 2005 Posted August 19, 2005 see if you can rescedual* your classes to a time when he's not there?
