franciscanheart Posted August 23, 2005 Posted August 23, 2005
Well, for right now I'm not working, though I did get hired they're trying to decide what store to put me in though, which when that happens I won't be on all day between M-Sat. Right now it's Summer also and 101 to 102 here in Louisiana everyday which cuts out hangin outside. Add in high gas prices and low funds for gas money lol that counts out trips all over the place. lol
try 107. we stay inside.

IcePrincessKRS Posted August 23, 2005 Posted August 23, 2005
Ice-P...that sounds like God's moving you guys out of your comfort zone! Praise God that you 2 have said yes... My prayers are with you guys...Hey, what does Matt do now?
Just a little bit. lol Right now Matt is doing tech support with webhosting companies. You know when you have problems with your website and you fill out a ticket for your hosting company so they can fix it? Well, Matt is one of the guys who would answers the tickets (if he worked for your hosting company, that is lol). He fixes problems and updates servers, things like that. After losing his big client back in January (he did work with 2 companies, and a little bit on the side with another company) its been a bit of a strain financially, but the work has also been rather stressful and is just wearing us (him) out. Matt has been interested in Health Care for some time now, and there really couldn't be a better time to make this move. And to get paid for learning a new career? We're not complaining.
inDEED Posted August 23, 2005 Author Posted August 23, 2005 Yeah, I hear ya... Well my prayers are with you guys...
inDEED Posted August 23, 2005 Author Posted August 23, 2005
i know YOU did silly : but some others may not! :
IcePrincessKRS Posted August 24, 2005 Posted August 24, 2005 Thanks inDEED. We appreciate it. Hows the Mrs.? Feeling ok? Any morning sickness problems? I hope you're both doing really well.
inDEED Posted August 24, 2005 Author Posted August 24, 2005 She's hangin' in there... 2nd year Kindergarten teacher + first trimester isn't makin' for the funnest time... But, we'll get through it...To think that such a HUGE blessing is on the horizon...His grace amazes me... I actually have an interview on Thursday for a Campus Minister position here in PHX...It's a slight pay cut from the job I currently have, but I definitely feel that teaching/youth ministry is where I belong...We'll see...
ReinnieR Posted August 24, 2005 Posted August 24, 2005
He is going to take the MEPS Tuesday and Wednesday of this week (for those not "in" with military lingo, its a series of physical tests),
it's also an acronym for Military Entrance Processing Station
IcePrincessKRS Posted August 24, 2005 Posted August 24, 2005 Yeah, I couldn't remember what it was an acronym for. Thanks Rei. : inDEED, I hope your interview goes well! If the nausea, etc. gets too bad Mandy should try drinking some Bigelow's Plantation Mint Tea (it should work either hot or cold, I know it probably wouldn't really be fitting to drink hot tea in 100 degree AZ weather!). It MUST be that brand and flavor, not all mint teas are equal when it comes to morning sickness. They also make these suckers called Preggie Pops that you can order online (I think its just preggiepops.com) that really help (the fruit flavors are the best). The tough part will be over soon!
mamalove Posted August 25, 2005 Posted August 25, 2005 I spend all day changing diapers (7 a.m. to midnight), washing dishes, doing laundry and trying to keep ahead of my kids (never happens) who don't take naps and fall asleep well past a normal time for their ages. Needless to say. . .I haven't visited phatmass very much lately.
Cam42 Posted August 25, 2005 Posted August 25, 2005
What do you do M-F? If you work, what is your job? If you're just a loser, why don't you find some friends that can't use "smilies" to express how they're feeling?
According to Jennie (from Paltalk days), I live in a cave and all I do all day is study Church documents and read the Bible. That is pretty much true.....
cmotherofpirl Posted August 25, 2005 Posted August 25, 2005
bump for Cmom and inDEED
thank you dearie
jp2_rules Posted August 25, 2005 Posted August 25, 2005 during the summer, i work my tail off. 40-50 hrs a week. i get on PM at night before bed.. during the school year, well, i'm at school. and i get on whenever i have a minute or 3. right now? i'm traveling! WYD first, now i'm in Dublin, then to Austria, where'll i'll be studying abroad for the semester. so basically, i have no time to sit in front of a computer on a regular basis.
IcePrincessKRS Posted August 25, 2005 Posted August 25, 2005 Well, since I've already done a bit of hijacking in this thread... Just wanted to let you know that Matt did well with the MEPS, but the medical fields he wanted weren't available, so we went into a computer field instead (its a little bit of what he does now, and working on actual hardware problems, etc.) and in about 2 years he can switch to the medical if he still wants to. He ships out September 21st or 22nd, and will be gone in basic and advanced training for about 8 months. (Since he couldn't get into medical he probably won't be in AT down in TX afterall.)
