Extra ecclesiam nulla salus Posted August 23, 2005 Posted August 23, 2005 Hes a heretic. but hes trying to be a good catholic.
Aloysius Posted August 23, 2005 Posted August 23, 2005
I would LOVE to see something that Mel has said recently confirming he is not in communion with the Church. From all that is speculated about him, I have yet to see anything definite.
well, we've seen speculation from a Prince of the Church. so it is the duty of Mel Gibson to provide that he is Catholic. if any Bishop questions your communion with the Church, it then becomes your duty to show you are in communion with the Church.
prose Posted August 23, 2005 Author Posted August 23, 2005 So is he, or is he not a Regnum Christi member?
morostheos Posted August 24, 2005 Posted August 24, 2005 I vaguely remember hearing something like that, but I think if it sounded legit it may have stuck in my mind a bit more. I do know he was at the Youth and Family Encounter with Regnum Christi in Chicago a few years ago, but that's about it.... If he is schismatic, I'm sure Regnum Christi is working on bringing him back into the Church though
popestpiusx Posted August 24, 2005 Posted August 24, 2005 It is a sad testament about the state of the Church when Mahoney is considered 'in union' and Mel Gibson outside the fold. Sad indeed.
