Pio Nono Posted August 28, 2005 Posted August 28, 2005 JMJ 8/28 - Twenty-second Sunday
but is lucifer gay?
Satan supports any sexual activity that is not procreative. Also, active homosexuality is the deep turning-in upon oneself instead of the turning-out towards another - it is a deep act of selfishness, and selfishness was Satan's first sin. In my mind, it's funny and it's good theology.
Era Might Posted August 28, 2005 Posted August 28, 2005 (edited) Homosexuality presupposes at the very least a shared species, although it also requires a shared gender. Specifically, it is a sexual attraction by one human for another human of the same gender. Demons are neither human nor gendered, so it would be incorrect to call them homosexuals. Though they may encourage homosexuality among humans, that does not mean they are homosexual themselves. Indeed, carnal desire is incongruous with the angelic nature, as it has no flesh to arouse passion. Edited August 28, 2005 by Era Might
Pio Nono Posted August 28, 2005 Posted August 28, 2005 JMJ 8/28 - Twenty-second Sunday You're arguing literally from the action of homosexuality, I'm arguing analogously from principle. The act illustrates and presupposes the principle - utter and complete selfishness.
FlyLikeABird Posted August 28, 2005 Posted August 28, 2005
Is the sentance, "My new vaccum cleaner really smells of elderberries" a bad way to use "smells of elderberries"?
Also it's counter-part "My vacuum cleaner doesn't smell of elderberries".

It puts your will above God's. If that is the criteria for a t-shirt, you can literally call the devil anything. "The devil is an organ-thief" "The devil is a tax cheat" "The devil is an illegal immigrant" Why single out a sexual sin when others are so much more provocative. Edited August 28, 2005 by Era Might
