IcePrincessKRS Posted September 6, 2005 Posted September 6, 2005 (edited) I still vote Chevy or Ford. : Our first truck (a Chevy) got over 250,000 miles on it before it bit the dust (it didn't really BITE it, but the transmission went out and we were in a different state so rather than wait for repairs we decided it was best to get a new vehicle). The only reason we traded in the second one was because it was too expensive for us right now, but it was a great vehicle, served us very well. My family has never had problems with Fords either, although I never owned one myself. Edited September 6, 2005 by IcePrincessKRS

ReinnieR Posted September 6, 2005 Posted September 6, 2005 american engineers seem to think big big big better the v8 guys swear to this but you have this little honda civic with yoru 1.8L engine (a swap from an integra motor ofcourse) that can spank a viper i mean c'mon granted taht you have to put modifications on it but it's still smarter and more practical with the higher gas prices that we face today
IcePrincessKRS Posted September 6, 2005 Posted September 6, 2005 You're probably right. But ya can't always help what ya like. lol

Laudate_Dominum Posted September 6, 2005 Posted September 6, 2005 My VW Jetta gets the best mileage out of the seven vehicles I've owned in the past year. They cost between 17 and 23K.

philothea Posted September 6, 2005 Posted September 6, 2005 As a long time reader of Consumer Reports, their stats show Toyota, Honda, and Subaru are most reliable. I think the Toyota Echo is a steal. The Scion xA is very nice too, and also stylish. Both are inexpensive. (Scion is Toyota.) Get to a Toyota dealership and try em out!
jmjtina Posted September 6, 2005 Posted September 6, 2005 I need a moped. I've been looking a hybrids, but I can't afford that right now. I drive a Chevy Truck. praise God I live about 2 blocks from where I teach. And Mass is within walking distance.

The xA looks like a slightly smaller Toyota Matrix (kind of a small "sport" wagon.) Also, you can get side airbags in an xA. I side airbags.
