White Knight Posted September 4, 2005 Posted September 4, 2005 WARNING Please do not vote inless you have seen the movie. Thank You First of all. I loved Star Wars Episode III: "Revenge of the Sith" it was a very powerful film to bring closure to the beloved Saga, My only complains were the acting, even though it was alot better than Episode II's it still had some cheesy moments, but more forgiveable than Ep2's, and I think the film felt rushed. Other than that I give it a 9.5, almost a 10. On my all time Favorites Star Wars List it goes in Third place. 1) The Empire Strikes Back 2) A New Hope/ Return of the Jedi (Tied for second place) 3) Revenge of the Sith 4) Attack of the Clones/The Phathom Menace
Socrates Posted September 4, 2005 Posted September 4, 2005 I'd give it a 6.5. It suffered from many of the problems of the first two prequels (stilted dialogue, wooden acting, some illogical plotting, over-reliance on cgi), yet, unlike Eps I and II, managed to rise above these weaknesses with its dramatic and tragicv story (and actually had some good acting by the Emperor guy -forget his name).
Paladin D Posted September 4, 2005 Posted September 4, 2005
(and actually had some good acting by the Emperor guy -forget his name).
Ian Mcdiarmid. I enjoyed the film a lot, obviously. 9/10
Asher Posted September 5, 2005 Posted September 5, 2005 the acting wasn't great, but what can you expect from star wars. It's almost a givin that there is going to be alot of cheesy lines, and this movie had a grilled coagulated milk sandwich of lines. I loved the movie still. The special effects were great. George lucas did a great job on the intensity and making it dark. It's worthy of buying when it comes onto DVD, and you can almost garantee to see it in my (pitifully small) collection.

Totus Tuus Posted September 6, 2005 Posted September 6, 2005 (edited) I gave it a nine. It was the best SW yet. And a very good movie. Edited September 6, 2005 by Totus Tuus
dUSt Posted September 6, 2005 Posted September 6, 2005 Actually, if two are tied for second on your list then techinically, it would be in fourth place.
Theoketos Posted September 6, 2005 Posted September 6, 2005 I have gone to the toliet and done better, but then agian college is way more entertaining than movies.

Duc_In_Altum Posted September 27, 2005 Posted September 27, 2005 They definately relied too much on computer graphics. Lets face it, the technology is great, but computer drawn images are still blatantly- fake looking. Lucas made the sets in the original three to look much more industrial. In the latest three, everything is stylized and squeaky clean. I would have preferred a little more continuity between the first series and this one. As far as the third one goes, the lava river fight at the end made me laugh. The rest of the movie was okay. i give it a 6. el paz, -Joe
sarcasmguy126 Posted September 30, 2005 Posted September 30, 2005 Omigosh!!!! i am mad now! i had a 10-year-old who had just seen it tell me that her favorite part in Episode III was "...when Anakin was on fire and the flesh was peeling off of his body..." that's almost exactly what she said and on opening day, when i went to go see it the first time, wgen Palpatine said, "You shall be...Darth...VADER....", i heard someone in the audience clapping no offense, Duc In Altum, but these sort of people are SICK
White Knight Posted October 1, 2005 Author Posted October 1, 2005 Well give CGI A break its only about 15 years old no one has mastered it yet, ya there alot of excellent movies with CGI, But there still something amatuer about CGI still, its not has convincing as Real Live Sets or Puppeters, or Animatronics, but its cool non the less.
Duc_In_Altum Posted October 3, 2005 Posted October 3, 2005 Whoa there! please don't misunderstand. I said the fight at the end made me laugh. That is, they were fighting on neon lit platforms in a river of lava. And the heat didn't seem to bother them...well until anakin was actually in the lava. Something about that scene seems a little unrealistic. The scene just looked fake. Now, i realize that STAR WARS is science fiction, but the laws of physics still should apply to a certain degree. The state of anakins body after the fight did NOT make me laugh....if that's what you interpreted from my comment. Also... I don't see how clapping when Darth Vader officially comes into the scene is a horrible act. ( No, i don't approve of clapping in the movie theater. It's pointless!) Perhaps the person was such a huge SW fan and they really liked the character of Darth Vader. Some people get really excited to see the key decisive points in the series. To call this person "SICK" just seems like a bit fast of a judgment of someone's intentions. peace, -Joe
