When I read this topic, I swept up my wife and twirled around...then she felt quizzey...but then we did the happy dance, because maybe our child will not have to ever see a luke warm liturgy.

If I were a betting man, I would say to look for it around November 1. Benedict wouldn't step on JP2's toes and in his last encyclical, JP proclaimed a "Year of the Eucharist" that ends this October. So, it a way, we are still in the time of that encyclical. Also, November is the month when the old liturgical year ends and the new one begins. What better time to promulgate an encyclical on the Sacred Liturgy than Advent!! We will certainly be having our own sort of advent on phatmass, eagerly awaiting the coming of the encyclical, that may save the liturgy.
