And are they unique to persons who rock to metal or can other people have them?

I found a Metal Fish. The funny thing is that I collect these for my boyfriend. I joke that its my collection, but I just store it at his place (he's an avid fisherman). Now I just have to perfect my tuna jello salad desert. Now, I just need to get a whole collection of metal home decor.

Guest T-Bone Posted September 23, 2005 Posted September 23, 2005 I have a weakness for Black Sabbath.
hooverbloob Posted September 23, 2005 Posted September 23, 2005
I listen to metal of course, mainly Christian though, although I've started to listen to some non-Christian bands recently. Christian: As I Lay Dying The Showdown Haste The Day Underoath Winter Solstice Demon Hunter Nodes Of Ranvier Bloodlined Calligraphy Sylvan Fortress Maylene And The Sons Of Disaster Norma Jean Inked In Blood Eterna Living Sacrifice Soul Embraced Non-Christian: Unearth All That Remains The Agony Scene Killswitch Engage Mastodon Comeback Kid Obituary Pathogen
Ok, I have heard of one band on this list (Haste the Day)...Now I know I'm not just getting old...I AM old!!! My 2 cents...Metallica, of course! I'm an old school Metallica fan...Black is my favorite album. And who could forget about AC/DC, Faith No More, Alice Cooper, Led Zepplen, Jimi Hendrix, Kiss, Dream Theatre...? HA! ok, I must be showing my age. As for newer bands...although I probably shouldn't listen to them, but System of the Down has made me head bang a few times over. I have only heard their radio releases as my husband doesn't like them at all due to some of their lyrics. P.O.D., Shine Down are a couple others.
Guest musicnerd Posted September 23, 2005 Posted September 23, 2005 I'm Catholic and I like mostly progressive metal (Dream Theater, Opeth, Pain of Salvation, Fates Warning) and other progressive rock (Spock's Beard, Rush, Yes, The Flower Kings, Porcupine Tree, Neal Morse). I also like Christian bands/singers like Jars of Clay, Caedmon's Call, Chris Rice, and Andrew Peterson. peace.

most people wounder consider AC/DC, Faith No More, Alice Cooper, Led Zepplen, Jimi Hendrix, Kiss, metal at all. i would think of them as metal when they played in late 60's 70's since there was nothing else like them around.
Guest T-Bone Posted September 26, 2005 Posted September 26, 2005
Who died and made Chris the "King of Metal"(tm)? Yeah, I like metal, but I lean more towards the older, power and progressive stuff. Maiden, Dream Theater, Rhapsody, Blind Guardian, Stratovarious, Sonata Arctica, Judas Priest, Dio, yamma yamma yamma.
Casey Cassem
