homeschoolmom Posted September 19, 2005 Posted September 19, 2005
Why are women so pretty?
It's a curse. We can't help it.
theculturewarrior Posted September 19, 2005 Author Posted September 19, 2005 Life would be a lot easier if you all weren't.
theculturewarrior Posted September 19, 2005 Author Posted September 19, 2005 The other day, I was helping a BEAUTIFUL woman. She was so pretty, I wanted to cut myself. It's rude to stare, though, especially in customer service, so I had this look of fear on my face, which she reciprocated. We ended up looking at each other something like this but scared.
Didacus Posted September 19, 2005 Posted September 19, 2005 This joke was sent to me this morning: A man said to his wife one day, "I don't know how you can be so stupid and so beautiful all at the same time". The wife responded, "Allow me to explain". God made me beautiful so you would be attracted to me; God made me stupid so I would be attracted to you!
theculturewarrior Posted September 19, 2005 Author Posted September 19, 2005 There's no such thing as a husband who's smarter than his wife. No such thing.

If women weren't pretty, there'd be a lot less people around...

philothea Posted September 19, 2005 Posted September 19, 2005 BTW, you could always... you know... say something if you find a woman especially beautiful. Women tend to like compliments.
Luthien Posted September 19, 2005 Posted September 19, 2005 Well, I live with my face, so I tend to forget that others of the male persuasion might find me pretty. I don't think it's fair that some men are so pulchritudinous. So there.

Yeah ... I'm always a little unnerved when people say things to me. I went through a spate where random guys kept saying things to me. One guy stopped me when I was riding my bike, told me I was beautiful and asked for my number. Another day, I was at the pool with a friend and some teenager comes up and asks for my number for his DAD. I never know quite how to respond to stuff like that. In both of those cases, I declined ... although maybe if I hadn't been so shocked I'd have agreed to meet for coffee or something ...

Right now all I can do is try to keep my eyeballs from popping out of my skull, and beg God to have mercy on my soul.
Era Might Posted September 19, 2005 Posted September 19, 2005
So God created man in His own image, in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them.
Or, as St. Augustine would say:
Who made this beauty if not the Beautiful One?
let_go_let_God Posted September 19, 2005 Posted September 19, 2005 I personally have a small "problem" when I'm called pretty. Typically I don't believe it. For example when my boyfriend started calling me pretty or beautiful I recall responding once by saying "Stop calling me that or I'll deck you!" (Not my best moment I had a bad day) Well at that point he took the fist, which at that time was in his face lowered it and said "Would you say that to Jesus, he tells you that every day." Big reality check, ever since then I think I've gotten at least somewhat used to being called cute. God bless- LGLG
shelly_freak Posted September 19, 2005 Posted September 19, 2005 I was told I was a complete psycho on saturday so I guess it all evens out.
sweetpea316 Posted September 19, 2005 Posted September 19, 2005
Who made this beauty if not the Beautiful One?
And yes...I agree with Luthien. At least you boys aren't this type of guy...the ones who will whistle and yell at you to try and get your attention. That is plain annoying. If you want to get my attention, treat me with kindness and respect. And even then, I'm not really interested at the moment. Thank you. *steps off soap box*
