I looked up masons in the Catholic Encyclopedia several years ago. The higher the degree (47th degree), the worse it is. They have to take vows (or promises or something) against the Eucharist and the Catholic Church. The masons on the lower end of the degrees (like 3rd degree), are not even aware that their organization has anything against the Catholic Church. They told me that they were just a bunch of guys that like to raise money for charity. St. Max. Kolbe was a major spokesman against the masons. He knew how evil their organization really is (in it's goals and higher degrees).
Sojourner Posted September 21, 2005 Posted September 21, 2005 My dad's father was a mason, but my dad had nothing to do with them.

They have the same brainwashing strategy...
Old_Joe Posted September 21, 2005 Posted September 21, 2005
I think that National Treasure might have helped it was an entertaining movie but Knigts Templar = Freemasons?? I don't think so.
I've heard that too. It's a very loose association. I was looking at a book on the history of secret sects such as the Masons and the Knights Templar. The whole basis for their organization is gnosticism, the belief that secret knowledge is needed for salvation. What's really intersting is how one group spawned another. They're very much a pseudoreligion.
