robguitar Posted October 10, 2005 Posted October 10, 2005 LSU's system is pretty good. If you're a registered student, you can use the wireless anywhere on campus. What I hate is the comptuer testing lab. It's notorious for taking your test registration and dropping it without your knowledge.
rachael Posted October 10, 2005 Posted October 10, 2005 quit whining we're the only dorm on campus with wireless connections (all of the other dorms have ethernet). more than half the people have [u][b]never[/u][/b] been able to connect to the internet from here. it's also amazingly slow. the IT people gave up caring after the first week. the school won't put more routers in the building because it's gonna be torn down after this school year. so, i don't think you have any reason to complain.

Oh, and I doubt many people at your college have quite the same reasons I do for needing to be online. It's up now, but taking a long time...and the Phatmass logo on my firefox tabs has been replaced by the Franciscan logo

Almost everyone has computers, and the labs are almost always empty. tell ya' what. if the lab is full and someone is waiting for a spot, then you can feel bad and get up. (never happen though)

It would be rude and perhaps even fall under the sin of gluttony to use a computer for "non-serious" reasons when others needed them for serious reasons.
