also, your AIM port might not be the problem... but if you can use phatmass then it isn't your computer or your ISP

Then, today I was praying and I said to myself. Not to mention, the [url="http://img484.imageshack.us/img484/816/mmmm6gk.jpg"]brownies[/url] you made are ready to eat. So cheer up!"

I booted Windows and figured out how to check the port settings:

1. Load AIM
2. On the "Sign on" screen click "setup"
3. if "Sign On/Off" is not highlighted on the menu on the left, click it.
4. In the lower righthand corner there will be a button that says "Connection." click it.
5. At the top, there's a button that says "Auto Configure." Click that.
6. Click OK.

if that doesn't fix it, then
