theculturewarrior Posted October 26, 2005 Posted October 26, 2005 my sister suggested that I try yogurt as a substitute for sour cream in one of her recipes, and ever since then, I've been eating it with every thing. I like it better than sour cream. It's not as heavy and rich, and you can eat like eight times as much. (One serving of yogurt is 1 cup, I don't think 1 cup of sour cream = 1 serving). If you like rice and beans, try adding yogurt!
Andrea348 Posted October 26, 2005 Posted October 26, 2005 i guess it's one of those things you just have to try
theculturewarrior Posted October 26, 2005 Author Posted October 26, 2005 PLAIN yogurt! Not Dannon Fruit on the Bottom! :
theculturewarrior Posted October 26, 2005 Author Posted October 26, 2005 Did you ever wonder what plain yogurt is for? This is it!

Guest T-Bone Posted October 26, 2005 Posted October 26, 2005 I eat sour cream like most people eat yogurt... Sour is God's gift to us!! I also use heavy cream on my cereal...

Catholictothecore Posted October 27, 2005 Posted October 27, 2005 I love yogurt, but can't stand sour cream.
Maria Posted October 27, 2005 Posted October 27, 2005 We use plain yoghurt a lot, too. And those dips made of sour cream and vegetable soup mix (I think onion's best)... use half yoghurt, half sour cream (just yoghut is too runny). I had a recipe for frozen strawberry pie that took cream coagulated milk, sour cream, etc., but we didn't have any sour cream, so I used yoghurt. It made the best popsicles ever. And the other good thing about yoghut is that it's really, really easy to make.
photosynthesis Posted October 27, 2005 Posted October 27, 2005 I usually buy low fat sour cream... but I would never eat it plain, like with a spoon! : is that what they do in Texas? My grandma uses yogurt in recipes a lot...

p0lar_bear Posted October 27, 2005 Posted October 27, 2005 Sour Cream is one of the proofs of a benevolent and loving God. Yogurt is not.
