This class I'm in (taking a breather) is so simple, but they make you work so hard. We're designing a database (for ten items). I wish I could just take a test and get my A, but we have to produce a substantial report documenting the process (27 to 40 pages). Springs of living water issue from the heart of Jesus, and an endless flow of BS issues from my fingers. I don't know how I pull it off. Maybe I am meant to be an attorney!

Every time, I don't take the assignment seriously, panic, and get it done at the last minute. Every time, I make an A. I sometimes wonder if they're just being nice to me! I asked God to teach me to be a better student, and I'm asking you to pray for me! It's not enough for me to get A's. I want to do my best too.

It wouldn't be much of an exaggeration to say that I haven't really even opened the textbook. I'm a mess!

I need to cut back on recreational internet, and learn to discipline myself. If I can learn to offer my studies as a sacrifice, I will offer them for you! Pray for me!

I graduated Magna Cum Laude. Next year, God willing, I'm going to graduate again Summa Cum Laude. I once scored in the 99% on an administered IQ test. Here's the catch: I talk like an Okie migrant worker from the 30's. I sound like a bad Ross Perot impersonation.

I am praying for you!!! You can do this!

Maybe God's given you an Okie migrant worker from-the-30's accent to humble you :) Thank Him for it! And you do NOT sound like a bad Ross Perot impersonation, I think you sound cool :)

From Exodus ch. 4:
Moses, however, said to the LORD, "If you please, LORD, I have never been eloquent, neither in the past, nor recently, nor now that you have spoken to your servant; but I am slow of speech and tongue."
The LORD said to him, "Who gives one man speech and makes another deaf and dumb?  Or who gives sight to one and makes another blind? Is it not I, the LORD?  Go, then! It is I who will assist you in speaking and will teach you what you are to say."
All voices are beautiful because they all come from God. Even the really off-key guy in church who sings loudly, or the cab driver whose accent you can barely understand. Everyone is beautiful :)

You're so cute. I didn't notice it when I listened to your songs!

Anyway, no one who matters cares about that sort of thing. (And I never graduated from anything. :P:)

Really, I love my accent. It's just that occassions demand that I talk like I'm from Nebraska. Sometimes I do, but I can't control it! :(

Hey, if it makes you feel any better, I'm accused of sounding like a valley girl.

I was telling one of my new hardcopy friends why I don't have that many hardcopy friends and why I've been living like a hermit for so long. It's hard to get sympathy when you sound like Ross Perot.

I hang out with lots of lawyers too. They're an interesting breed.

I'll be a lawyer librarian. That's like a double whammy. :P:

Law librarians are a dying breed. Lexis has made them all but obsolete.

Really? Then I'll be a well-researched attorney! :D:

Of course, people say the same things about Google and librarians in general.

Most of the big firms used to employ librarians to oversee their law collections. Now very few do.

Well....I sometimes think my sole purpose in life is to acquire credentials. I won't regret going to Library School, or Law School. (We're talking after graduating, not before! :P: )
