scardella Posted November 11, 2005 Posted November 11, 2005
What's wrong with broken dependencies, searching endlessly for the right versions, downloading libraries, and trying to figure out where to put all the dratted parts? Some people have no sense of adventure...
Sometimes I'd like to think I've got a life, thank you very much. Disclaimer: Sorry about the comment....Just in a bad mood this morning.
Jaime Posted November 11, 2005 Posted November 11, 2005
Publisher IS awful. I love Quark best when it comes to publishing programs. Although even Pagemaker is a vast improvement over Publisher.
Have you tried InDesign? It is so much better than Pagemaker. Lotus Notes bugs me the most.

Haven't tried that -- it wasn't out when I was in college, which is the last time I was doing desktop publishing on a regular basis. We learned both Quark and Pagemaker; Quark was SO much better, and that's actually the program our designers use here. I occasionally lay out the bulletin at my former church, but when I do that it's in Pagemaker. smells of elderberries, but can't really change it.
Piccoli Fiori JMJ Posted November 11, 2005 Posted November 11, 2005 What really irritates me is Adobe and Firefox... It just doesn't work for me... whenever I open up a pdf link, it takes forever and freezes firefox so I have to restart it, but if I can wait it out, it comes up as a blank page. I know there is a way to fix it, but it hasn't happened yet. <<sigh>>

I only want to amuse, but sometimes it doesn't work out. Sincerely hope you feel better soon.
