Piccoli Fiori JMJ
I just ordered three Slate, amethyst (e.g. dark purple), and lavender for Laetare... or maybe I should use that as an excuse to buy a pretty pink, er, "very light purple" one?
Very cool! I have a bright orange scarf from egypt that I have been playing with. Where did you order them from?

I also got an off-white and a black snood to go under them.
Piccoli Fiori JMJ
I've been very tempted to order some scarves... although I am not too sure I can afford them. I think I might explore stores and such out here in hopes to find something. I really want to see if I can master all the different ways to tie a scarf. It would be neat to wear about and it would keep my head warm. I could be like the babushkas in Ukraine! Always with a scarf on their heads! VeniteAdoremus
I'm going to start with Wednesdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays in Lent... that way it's like a special symbol (I need to be creative to find fasts in Lent, as I'm a vegetarian, so I can't give up meat, and I have to eat a LOT of food on doctor's orders... frustration, anyone?) but chances are I like it so much I'll keep it afterwards Can't wait for my package to arrive! (And no, I can't really afford them either, haha ) While browsing I stumbled upon this article, which I thought had some really good points: http://www.theuniversityconcourse.com/IV,5...vanSchaijik.htm
Piccoli Fiori JMJ
Very good article. I agree with most of it, that modesty is not just outward. Good find!

I should be going up to her house soon and hopefully we can start on some dresses pour moi. :
So... I went to my Aunt's yesterday and we took my measurements. I'm meeting her in an hour to pick out some patterns and fabric for dresses! I'll probably start with neutral colors, with maybe a few brighter accents, but my Easter dress is probably going to be teal and pink or some other bright colors. :

Hilde
I think modest clothing can be really cute and different. The store I buy most of my clothes is probably not in the US though.
