franciscanheart Posted December 30, 2005 Posted December 30, 2005 I know it's been asked before... but what is everyone doing to ring in the new year?
Sojourner Posted December 30, 2005 Posted December 30, 2005 There are two parties I'll be going to, and then I'm ending up with a small group of close friends at midnight.
Noel's angel Posted December 30, 2005 Posted December 30, 2005 same as always-sleep... I just don't get New Year. It will actually be a year and a second before it comes though because of the earth slowing down and all that
shortnun Posted December 30, 2005 Posted December 30, 2005 Not babysitting for the first time EVER!!!! Sorry, I am a poor, starving student. And, I really like kids. I just couldn't pass up a money-making opportunity... until now!! Three day long party complete with square dancing and paintball in the dark. (We like to pretend we're not adults with jobs.)

Carrie Posted December 30, 2005 Posted December 30, 2005 I'm not sure. There were talks of going to a bar but the tickets are over $100.
Carrie Posted December 30, 2005 Posted December 30, 2005 Exactly. Those are the cheapest tickets too. Which is probably why I won't go.
Piccoli Fiori JMJ Posted December 30, 2005 Posted December 30, 2005 Either sleeping or packing or adjusting to the Ukrainian time zone...
homeschoolmom Posted December 31, 2005 Posted December 31, 2005 What are your plans? We are going to have a mid-winter picnic in the living room-- hot dogs, watermelon, potato salad etc. and watch movies. This was HSson's idea and it's a surprise for the rest of the HSfam. The kids have no desire or intention to stay up until midnight.... we probably will, but we'll just sit around watching TV-- probably EWTN... then slink off to bed... We also have a very weird "chocolate poo" tradition, but that's really weird...
franciscanheart Posted December 31, 2005 Author Posted December 31, 2005 are you trying to ruin my fun
Carolou Posted December 31, 2005 Posted December 31, 2005 I'm going over Luthien, Moosey and Azaelias house!
homeschoolmom Posted December 31, 2005 Posted December 31, 2005 No... I'm so bored... I am blinded to the fact that you already started a thread... I will now magically combine them! Poof!
