I love the name Papist. Whats dirty about being called a papist we are Papist. Back in my Seminary days I was accused of being more Papist than the pope. I must admit even though it was ment as a correction I puffed up my Chest raised my chin and said " Then THIS pope isn't papist enough" and promptly left the room before saying something far more offensive to my formation director. Ah I pray for him often, though a priest he denied basic Church teachings.

Regarding all Protestant sites that won't allow a simple little "papist".....(stupid word!) to post on their sites is just plain cowardly. (actually I was thinking chicken-BLEEP!) I also don't bother getting angry anymore because its fruitless and pointless. I think I gotta agree with the ice princess, (did I get the name right? If not, I'm sorry! ) We should just pray for them. The Catholic Church has always had her enemies since her "founding". Why would it suddenly change now?

Why Romanists and Papists? Why is Catholic such a bad word? At least dis properly. Those names sound so dirty. Their charity really makes me want to become an evangelical 

well, they believe that we are not the Catholic church, but a perversion of the true catholic (universal) Church established by Jesus. THis is what mustbenothing has said, at least.

It's neat to try and turn a dirty word around, but we are called Papists and Romanists because they think we worship a man and not Christ. I don't want to be associated with any title imposed by the Church of England or Separtists or Puritans. We are Church of Jesus Christ where all people can find comfort, salvation, and rest - and nothing less.

Ok first off You guys are cluess. Of course an ex catholic is going to be talkign smack about the church otherwise he wouldnt of left. I could get some ex protest ants to talk about how how horrible your churches are and how stupid the doctrines are and how great the ROMAN CATHOLIC CHURCH is and would it be valid. NO

second off i find it ironic how everyone here claims that the catechism teaches catholics to never question there faith and just follow rome like blind sheep when you guys arent letting honest dialouge and defeding of truths go on here. I want to say that all of you are mis informed. I myself am a SEMINRIAN and I can tell you that just because you are a seminarian doesnt mean you know jack squat about the faith. There are many guys here who are not informed, for that matter there are preists who are mis informed.

If you want the truth get it from catholics themselves not some bitter protest ants who have nothing but lies and misconceptions to talk about because they left the church due to there lifestyle which they woudlnt confrom out of pride and stubborness.
