I think you've done the right thing by being honest with them and telling the VD that you are not called to that community and maybe the other sisters just want to have lunch and see how you're doing and so I say enjoy your time and if they ask you about discernment in regards to their community just do as you already have and let them know it's just not gods will that your'e called there, but that you'll always carry them in your heart and that they still have enriched your life, that's what I have done with communities I did not feel called too, because even though I wasn't called to that community, the guidance, lessons, love I recieved had enriched my life and it's all part of gods plan and vice versa we too touch their lives as well! Btw: I LOVE your avatar!

God Bless You!

TA,

Thanks. It's like confusing because I don't want to hurt anyone. But you are right and I enjoyed your feedback. It will be nice and I am thankful that they still care enough to respect my vocation. They obviously care about my future. The other group I discerned with was not so nice.
So I am grateful.

God Bless you too!

I've never had sisters ask to have lunch with me. . .although I've gone to have lunch with my sisters in Christ, the PCPA in AZ. So, I've never been in that situation. The closest I've ever had, in experiences was the one I mentioned. But if you've told them that you don't feel called to them, personally, I would just enjoy the lunch, if you really would like to have lunch with them. Then, later, if they bring up any vocation with you, again, reiterate your words from before, charitably, something like, 'as I mentioned to you before. . .' :idontknow: It's just how I see myself playing that out were I in the same boat.

Oh and your comment about discerning with a group that was not so nice? I once had a Mother Superior tell me that I was probably too old (at 35) and too set in my ways to begin formation. How's that for nice?

Lauren:

Yes I know how you feel, it is hard to tell a community that you dont' feel called, especially if it's one you had discerned with for a while and felt you were called but then foudn it was not our lords will, it's kinda like how a person who is engaged might feel if they felt that person was not the one so to speak, you feel a bit sad and not wanting to hurt them, but they sound like a good group and they will most likely support your vocation, and in regards to those who were not so nice, well just take it as gods way of for sure telling you that you were not called there adn just pray for them! sorry to ask and it's off topic, but What is photoshop/photo bucket?

I will keep you in my prayers and hope your lunchean goes well!

Yes they broke it off almost two years ago. It was a hard break up for him. He's single if you know any hot felines who are in the market for a single and well-established tomcat. He is neutered though, so he isn't really into having a phamily.

meeeoooow :kitten:
