I am curious to see the answers people have to this question. I believe I know the answer, but I'd like to hear what you all think...

No, I do not believe that is right at all...

Mark 13:21-23

If anyone says to you then, 'Look, here is the Messiah! Look, there he is!' do not believe it. False messiahs and false prophets will arise and will perform signs and wonders in order to mislead, if that were possible, the elect. Be watchful! I have told it all to you beforehand.

I don't really know the answer to the heart of the question you're asking, the only thing I can think of is how John the Baptist jumped in his mother's womb when he recognized Christ, or the 2 disciples on the road to emas (sp??) recognized him by the last supper. You will know Christ in your heart, not because He tells you "This is me". Christ didn't tell his apostles who He was, He asked them "Who do you say I am?". I dunno thats the best I've got, its something like how I envision 'How do you know the one you're supposed to marry?' 'You just will, it will just hit you' Something like that....

On another note, I was talking to a Priest the other week on something very similar to this, and he said something like this... First off don't make a seperation between the second coming and Christ in the world today. Christ is very much in the world today and the question is can you recognize Him in the people around you?

The priest went on to give a story of one of his brother priests in New Orleans (Jesuits). The priest was waiting on a trolly or something, and saw a poor man across the street, so the young priest ran over there, offered him all of what he had, which was only like $2. They talked for a bit, then the Priest noticed the trolly approaching, so he said good bye and ran as quickly as he could back across the street to catch the trolly. When he glanced back over to the corner, the man was no where to be seen, the Priest says there was no where he could have run to or hid in the time of him crossing the street. The young priest later told the older priest (the one telling me this) that 'I think I just took the Final Test, and I think I passed.'

Wow, I've heard stories like that before always awesome... Still there is a difference between Christ in the world today in spirit and The Second Coming of Christ, you anwser that "it will just hit you" is close... still not the answer I'm looking for... but very close

(Apoc 1. 7-8)

There I told you! :P: You read latin right?

If not...

Behold, he is coming amid the clouds, and every eye will see him, even those who pierced him. All the peoples of the earth will lament him. Yes. Amen.
"I am the Alpha and the Omega," says the Lord God, "the one who is and who was and who is to come, the almighty."

Rev. 1, 7-8

Also, in...

Mark 13, 21-27

21
If anyone says to you then, 'Look, here is the Messiah! Look, there he is!' do not believe it.
22
False messiahs and false prophets will arise and will perform signs and wonders in order to mislead, if that were possible, the elect.
23
Be watchful! I have told it all to you beforehand.
24
"But in those days after that tribulation the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light,
25
and the stars will be falling from the sky, and the powers in the heavens will be shaken.
26
5 And then they will see 'the Son of Man coming in the clouds' with great power and glory,
27
and then he will send out the angels and gather (his) elect from the four winds, from the end of the earth to the end of the sky.
