[quote name='Era Might' date='Mar 25 2006, 09:25 PM']I'm serious too. The same thing I'll do when a Pope lifts the excommunication of Martin Luther.

We'll pass that road when we come to it. But whatever that course of action is, it won't distinguish between Luther and Lefebvre because one had an affinity for Latin. If an excommunication can be lifted for one man, it can be lifted for any other.

Was St. Joan of Arc excommunicated? Yes. Was it revoked? Yes.

Archbishop Lefebvre was not a heretic; did not found a new religion, etc.

st. Athanasius was also excommunicated. and he is now A saint!

when Lefebvre's name is cleared i will forgive all of you.

that is true. but Luther is excommunicated for good Reason. St. Joan of Arc was not. are you equating the two?

If one man's excommunication can be lifted, any other man's excommunication can be lifted.

If the Pope chooses to lift the excommunication of Martin Luther or Marcel Lefebvre or anyone else, that is his prerogative.

[quote]If once again we succeed in pointing out and living the fullness of the Catholic religion with regard to these points, we may hope that the schism of Lefebvre will not be of long duration.

Get over it people. Vatican 2 is a done deal. His Excellency the Archbishop is dead. He gave his life to Christ, so I think its safe to say His Excellancy isn't in Hell.

you have an oversimplified version of salvation. Many Protestants "give their life to christ" this does not ensure salvation.

not to imply that His Excellency Archbishop Lefebvre is a protestant, in fact far from it.

Vatican II is not "a done deal".
