whats your point?

something bieng 40 years old does not mean it was not a radical departure from the Catholic faith.

i notice that you have a quote from Padre Pio.

i hope you know what he said about Vatican II

during the V2 council 1965, in which St. Padre Pio said to papal
representative Cardinal Bacci: "For pity's sake, end the Council quickly!"(Fr. Jean, O.F.M. Cap., a colleague of St. Padre Pio's in the Capuchin Order)

since we are now arguing- I'll venture this. Please do not take it offensivley

But in asserting all this you're saying that you know more about the Church than the pope did. And that would be close to saying you know more than God because you know, God picks the pope.

Also, Sam, do you have proof -- I mean REAL proof (that is, something coming from someone other than some conspiracy theorist) -- that St. Padre Pio said that?

Yes God Picks Popes. But did Saint Athanasius know more than Pope Liberius I?

i would think so. Liberius Excommunicated him. Athanasius taught correct doctrine and after his death he was made a saint and the excommunication was declared null and void.

God picks popes. They can either follow God's will or they can not (like Pope liberius)

I am not claiming to be a bishop here. I am no Athansius but Lefebvre is.
"We therefore choose to keep our Faith and we cannot be mistaken in clinging to what the Church has taught for two thousand years. The crisis is profound, cleverly organized and directed, and by this token one can truly believe that the master mind is not a man but Satan himself. For it is a master-stroke of Satan to get Catholics to disobey the whole of Tradition in the name of obedience."
-Archbishop Lefebvre
True Obedience

According to the great theologian, St. Thomas Aquinas, true obedience is a balance between twin errors of defect and excess, which are disobedience and false obedience (IIa IIae, Q104, 5 and 3). Today this second error is common among Catholics who, when the follow orders to depart from Tradition, think they are being obedient.

Obedience is the servant of Faith...not of Obedience. -- Spanish Proverb

God must always be obeyed no matter what he may ask of us. Such was the Patriarch Abraham's obedience.

Human superiors need not be obeyed if their orders violate the Faith. Such was the martyrs' obedience.

We ought to obey God...rather than men. -- Acts 5:29

And there is no reason why those who obey God rather than men should be accused of refusing obedience; for if the will of rulers is opposed to the will and the laws of God, these rulers exceed the bounds of their own power and pervert justice, nor can their authority then be valid, which, when there is no justice, is null. -- Leo XIII, Diuturnum Illud.

"Error by excess"--False Obedience

Excessive zeal even for obedience, if indiscreet, will surely lead to a great fall.

Satan's masterstroke is to have succeeded in sowing disobience to all Tradition through obedience (i.e. false obedience). -- Archbishop Marcel Lefebvre

Im not saying anything. Archbishop Lefebvre said he was. And So does Bishop Fellay.

The Pope is the keeper of tradition and should not abandon it.
If you read the life of St. John Bosco you will see that  Don Bosco was able to have Martin Luther raised from Hell to testify to some Lutherans who were intent on his murder.

There are so many reasons I doubt that, especially if Don Bosco was a Godly man.
