Trying2BFaithful Posted December 26, 2003 Posted December 26, 2003 One of you mentioned The Mission. I just bought the DVD which includes a 1 1/2 hour documentary detailing the making of the movie. It is absolutely amazing. The movie itself is a critique on both the foreign policy of the U.S. in the 1980s (with specific regard to the Grenada invasion) as well as the flawed implications of liberation theology. It is one of my all-time favorite movies. I highly reccomend this movie. Also, Liam Neeson, who plays a Jesuit priest in the movie, is a devout Catholic.
jmjtina Posted December 26, 2003 Posted December 26, 2003 Pirates of the Carribean A little Princess Monsters Inc. Count of Monte Cristo last but not least: Lord of the Rings! :cheer:
~runnergurl~ Posted December 27, 2003 Posted December 27, 2003 Finding Nemo rocks..as do all the other Disney Pixars I'm obssessed with. The only problem is that dates give you really funny looks when you suggest one of those on a Friday night. Aside from that..DOGMA!! I don't really know anybody here too well, but I have no doubt in my mind each and every one of yall would absolutely looove it!
jmjtina Posted December 27, 2003 Posted December 27, 2003 I love saying the lines before them. It drives my sister (okay, the whole family) crazy!!!!!
littleflower+JMJ Posted December 27, 2003 Posted December 27, 2003 I love saying the lines before them. It drives my sister (okay, the whole family) crazy!!!!! its true!! :squash: its not funny when the movie is 3 hours and something minutes though :hammer: :rolling:
track2004 Posted December 27, 2003 Posted December 27, 2003 Ok I have to get in on the suggestions. These are a few of my favorites, and some of them have a bit of crude language, but the theme man, the theme... The Breakfast Club (circa 1985, a great year) The Matrix Casablanca ("Play it again, Sam") The Jungle Book (A personal childhood favorite) Ok those are the ones I can think of now, but there are a bunch of great films out there.

Peter Pan (cartoon- I haven't seen the new one yet...but I LOVE Tinkerbell) Space Balls Finding Nemo Life is Beautiful (all in Italian, but has subtitles...it is AMAZING) A Midsummer Night's Dream (the one with Michelle Pfiefer) Honey Edited December 27, 2003 by GodsThespianChic
track2004 Posted December 28, 2003 Posted December 28, 2003 Life is Beautiful (all in Italian, but has subtitles...it is AMAZING) Ya that movie rocks, but you have to watch it in Italian. It loses so much when they dub it. My friends and I watced that on Thanksgiving because it really shows whats important in life and what to be really thankful for.
