No I'm saying no one can translate EVEN THE WORDS OF JESUS. At least I CERTAINLY will not rely on you for translations that you read from the english bible. I rely on THE CATHOLIC CHURCH to teach to me the truth.

Ok there you go again. Making an accusation on its own with nothing but itself. Why don't you either back yourself up or not make those little remarks?

You simply can't accept Church teaching, I can't force you to, and that wasn't my intent. There's NO point left if we're going to sit here in a battle of wits. I'm trying to explain my church to you and you point out my typo's, wow what a mature arguement.

Uruviel, not to be mean or anything but maybe you shouldn't respond to Chris. you know the he is eventually going to insult you and he knows that you are going to start using capitals and start getting extremely defensive, making alll your arguements circular.

BTW, I think you mean interperate not translate.
2 Then I saw another angel coming up from the east, having the seal of the living God. He called out in a loud voice to the four angels who had been given power to harm the land and the sea: 3 "Do not harm the land or the sea or the trees until we put a seal on the foreheads of the servants of our God." 4 Then I heard the number of those who were sealed: 144,000 from all the tribes of Israel. 5 From the tribe of Judah 12,000 were sealed, from the tribe of Reuben 12,000, from the tribe of Gad 12,000, 6 from the tribe of Asher 12,000, from the tribe of Naphtali 12,000, from the tribe of Manasseh 12,000, 7 from the tribe of Simeon 12,000, from the tribe of Levi 12,000, from the tribe of Issachar 12,000, 8 from the tribe of Zebulun 12,000, from the tribe of Joseph 12,000, from the tribe of Benjamin 12,000. 9 After this I looked and there before me was a great multitude that no one could count, from every nation, tribe, people and language, standing before the throne and in front of the Lamb. They were wearing white robes and were holding palm branches in their hands. 10 And they cried out in a loud voice: "Salvation belongs to our God, who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb." 11 All the angels were standing around the throne and around the elders and the four living creatures. They fell down on their faces before the throne and worshiped God, 12 saying: "Amen! Praise and glory and wisdom and thanks and honor and power and strength be to our God for ever and ever. Amen!"
This is what he means.

Chris, why are you so bitter?

And for debating purposes, what exactly IS your religion?

so why bother trying?

I mean if only 144000 are getting in and only the really bad are going to why bother doing your best when you can just sit back relax and enjoy "paradise on earth?"

And they are only getting in from the tribes of Juda so I don't even have a slight chance even if I am really really good.

Though I agree that we all should not judge by appearance and that you all are superheroes to say you only see people for their personality, but I do not think physical appearance plays no roles in how we see people. It does have an effect whether we like it or not.

I am sure that when you see some bald bicker guy wearing a ripped leather jacket and has tattoos up the china, you are not too apt to walk up and ask him out to tea. That is an example of how someone’s appearance can cause first impressions. So if you guys dont do that, you would say "HEY! He looks like a nice guy!" And go right up and ask him over to your grandma's house for dinner. I DOUBT you would ever do that because of the way he looked.

As hard as I try, I know appearance will have an effect on me whether it be big or small, it will and I cant help that due to the fact I am human. No one is immune to it.

But what I can say is that appearance plays a role in relationships too (gf bf) because I doubt you would want to date someone if you were not physically attracted to them. That might sound shallow, but our degrees of attraction are all different and we may like people who others think or ugly, but we think they are prince charming.
It is a touchy issue, but bLAH!

I think physical appearance has a weigh in our impressions whether we like to think so or not.
