Prayers for you!

Tomorrow! Tomorrow! I love you, tomorrow! You're only a day away!!!!

I checked the weather for MN, and I guess God's heating it up for me so I don't feel like I'm in a foreign country or something...

I'm guessing I'll feel fine, with Minnesotans dropping like flies left and right of me.

I'll let y'all know how it all turns out when I get back to the bayou....

Okey dokey.

If you're going to the Steubenville youth conference, keep your eye out for the CCRNO group from New Orleans. They're my people; I've been involved off and on w/ that group for about 8 years. My guess is that they'll be nuts. I guess that comes from being on a bus for about 24 hours. I know all the leaders for the trip and a decent portion of the teens.

I'm back from the great northland of quaint accents, evergreen trees, and land'o'lakes.

I had an amazing weekend on my interview. I felt comfortable the whole weekend and had a great time. The interviews themselves were thought-provoking in addition to the usual legal/medical rigamarole. My small group was great; I liked the picture of NET life they presented, even the challenges I would face.

The array of "Stupid Human Tricks" on display would've impressed Dave Letterman. I wouldn't be surprised if the vast majority of the interviewees were accepted.

I got to meet a number of the NET staff, recruiters and the staff of former NETers running a side program called DEP (prounounced deep).

And then I found five bucks! (Umm, yeah...)

Well, we had that arranged just for your visit. We like to make our visitors feel welcome-- not by actually talking to them (wouldn't want to pry into their business or anything) but by turning up the thermostat for our southern friends.

It's good that you liked it. None of us did.

Today, I was talking to a friend who had just gotten off of NET, and she was really excited for me. She also told me that she'd already know everything that happened to my team before I got home for Christmas. Apparently there's a NETwork...

Oh, and check out the new sig...

I'm hoping to be there in August, December, January and May. It's been 3 years since I've had a real winter. Maybe it'll warm up for me then too. I freely admit that cold is the devil. However, your comment reminds me of a Boudreaux joke.

[quote]
Boudreaux dies and finds himself in hell. Amid the fires of hell, he's looking pretty comfy. He says, "Hey, cher, it feel pretty nice, like a day in April down on the ba-you."

The devil gets pretty angry, so he turns up the heat and asks him, "Well, how's it feel now?"

Boudreaux, he just laughs and says, "Oh, cher, it's just like dem days in July when we used to go swimmin' wit da gators!"

The devil got even more angry, and he turned up the fires to full blast.

Boudreaux, he starts to sweat, but says, "Hey, dere, now it's just feelin' like a hot August day down on da bayou."

The devil decided to try a different tack. He went off and turned off all the fires. Instead of flames, there were icicles everywhere, and he chuckled when he saw Boudreaux shivering.

Boudreaux then says, "Boy, I'm one happy Cajun!"

"Why?"

"Because the Saints just won da Super Bowl, cher!"
