Era Might Posted July 26, 2006 Share Posted July 26, 2006 Another point: I've been a young, "pious" new Catholic. I came into the Church when I was 15. I did crazy stuff like sleep on the floor instead of on my bed. I figured stuff like that would get me in line and make me holy, but it's just zeal that isn't informed by prudence. Your son has to learn that just because something seems pious doesn't mean it's good for him. I learned the hard way...on the floor without a pillow. Sleeping on the floor wasn't going to make me holy. Praying and living a full Catholic life would. That's always the best answer to our problems. In the meantime, contact Cher to see if her daughter Chastity has turned normal and if she is eligible to marry in the Church.
