Jos 7:6 And Joshua rent his clothes, and fell to the earth upon his face before the ark of the LORD until the eventide, he and the elders of Israel, and put dUSt upon their heads.

That would have been interesting to watch.

Proof that piggy-back rides have early roots in ancient Hebrew customs.

2Sa 16:13 And as David and his men went by the way, Shimei went along on the hill's side over against him, and cursed as he went, and threw stones at him, and threw dUSt.

Ouch!

true Micah.. It seems like a common thing back then:

Lam 2:10 The elders of the daughter of Zion sit upon the ground, [and] keep silence: they have cast up dUSt upon their heads.

hmm.. what about this one?

Psa 30:9 What profit [is there] in my blood, when I go down to the pit? Shall dUSt praise thee?

I wonder if dUSt's wife knows about this one:

Isa 34:7 And the unicorns shall come down with them, and the bullocks with the bulls; and their land shall be soaked with blood, and their dUSt made fat with fatness. :o

And I truly hope I'm misinterpretting this verse, has the Church said anything about it?:

Isa 65:25 The wolf and the lamb shall feed together, and the lion shall eat straw like the bullock: and dUSt shall be the serpent's meat

And my fave:

Act 22:23 And as they cried out, and cast off their clothes, and threw dUSt into the air.

I just wonder if we're supposed to be imitating the apostles or something.. For all I know they're already doing stuff like that at the concerts dUSt goes to. :idontknow:

the word budge isnt in the KJV

:P:
I guess that proves that you yourself are unbiblical!!

However.....

In the NAB 1970 translation, the word "budge" is in Matthew 23:4:

"Their words are bold but their deeds are few. They bind up heavy loads, hard to carry, to lay on other men's shoulders, while they themselves will not lift a finer to budge them'.

So, if you are in the Catholic Bible but not the Protestant one, maybe that is telling you something....

(You can always come home, Budge).

The NAB is not the Catholic Bible, it is an heretical bible posing to be Catholic. The real Catholic Bible is the Douay-Rheims if you like poetical language, and the Reviesed Standard Version Catholic Version if you like modern language.
