If You Could Ask God Just One Question,

I think mine would be why pain exists. and that includes if having pain allows us to appreciate pleasure, why we need that to be the way it is. and it includes if it's sin that causes pain, why we have that punishment for sin. and why we have free will if the sin is a result of our bad choices. and if free will and the resulting pain is just the result and that's the way it is, if that's just the way it is and that's all.

either that or if the CC is true.

either that or something regarding the exact ramifications of the atonement, but that's a complicated question and won't go there.

so you can see questions are always loaded, but let's see what you guys got

If I could ask God a question, I would probably ask him what he wants me to do while I am on earth to serve Him...at least, that is the first thing that comes to mind. Even if it's an answer that's already been said countless times (follow my commandments, sell what you have and give to the poor)...

No brainer...

How can I serve you better?

If the response was, "You can only ask theology questions," then I would ask:

How much longer?

Two points of study for you...

1. What is the CC deffinition of apostolic succession from a scriptural perspective.

2. Did the power and influence of the apostles cease with the death of the last apostle, or do the descendants of the apostles still carry authority to spiritually bind and loose to this day?

1) I'll tell you what to do when you get there.

2) Until I say so.

I bet He'd answer like that.

I would ask him what the answer to the ultamit(sp?) question is... then laugh my dead guts out if he said 42.

but to be serious

What's the meaning of life?
