Sojourner Posted November 27, 2006 Posted November 27, 2006
am not. New York is busy.
uh, yes you are, no question I like Central Park. Maybe GC should visit there.
mariahLVzJP2 Posted November 27, 2006 Posted November 27, 2006 I just went to NYC a few weeks ago. I've been twice, but I say hit up all the tourist spots (Empire State Building, Times Square, Statue of Liberty). It is so much fun doing all the touristy things with a bunch of friends. We also went to the U.N., its a lovely area. Little Italy is cool for dinner too. You have to go to Central Park as well, it is so pretty this time of year!! Have a fun and safe trip!!

God Conquers Posted November 28, 2006 Author Posted November 28, 2006
You are soo lucky! New York at Christmas time is the best! If you want to shop check out the deals at Century 21. If you want a genuine imitation anything go to Canal Street you can get anything there but it most likely won't be real. Food wise Fererra's bakery in Little Italy is the best. Stop into a deli for a quick bite. Don't pass up the chance to get a truely good bagel. Bagels were perfected in New York as was pizza. Since you are going at Christmas time you must go window shopping at Macy's, Saks and the others. The Christmas show at Radio City is always good. The tree at Rockafeller Center will be up and you can skate there although I prefer the rink in Park. Speaking of the Park, you have to go there for a stroll. It is an oasis in the middle of the city. Others have already given tips about the churches in the city definately check them out. Most of all have fun. It is a great city and since Giuliani cleaned it up it is relatively safe. So go! Have fun and soak it up. There is no place like it in the world! You are going to love it!!
YESS! Will the rink be skatable even now? THAT would be the COOLEST!!!!!! mmmm... deli.... oh.... I don't know where in Jersey Father... I'll have to find out!

photosynthesis Posted November 30, 2006 Posted November 30, 2006 definitely check out St. Agnes' church on 43rd and Lexington. It's a beautiful little church that has adoration in the afternoons, lots of daily Masses, an Indult Mass every Sunday and a really cool traditional catholic gift shop.
gonzaga Posted November 30, 2006 Posted November 30, 2006 Aw man, I love New York! I'm going back next summer!
