Avatars Vs Sigs

Okay, so we've had time to get use to having sigs instead of avatars for awhile...

Now it's time for the truth to be told. Which would you rather have? I will consent to the popular will.

Depends for me. I like the looks o the big banners at the bottom. But I prefer the little avatars in cases where we are able to put text where the banner used to be. If no text signatures, then keep them as they are I say. But it's your call.

I like the sigs... I've gone a long way in honing my Photoshop/Gimp skillz since we switched. I don't know if I could handle working with a smaller canvas. lol

Avatars. It just seems more natural to have avatars. Mind you, I also helped a bit with the photoshopping, and I wouldn't care if we switched back. (I hope we will someday)
I also think it looks better with avatars. The avatars and the Vatican flag seem to go good together.

I like the sigs, but I think if you keep them the post layout should be a little different. Right now, the way each post box is set up is more conducive visually to avatars ... if you modified it slightly, the longer sigs would look fit better.

I like the old avatars better. For those of us who are not tech savvy, it's much easier to change the old ones.

While I had fun making sigs, I like avatars better.

It seems more of an ownership and connection to the poster's identity than a sig.

With the Avatar you see it immediately, and it's easier to tell who's who cause names and avatars go hand in hand.

With the sig you don't see it til the end of the post and that can be a looooooong way....

and with sigs its so much trouble sizing and making it. tis true, you always feeel woefully inadequate with a small sig, no matter how cool it is

Sigs.

There is simply more freedom, dimensional wise. With it this way, you can have your avatar as your sig, like I have with mine (till I make a sig for myself).
